Hoard of Aldermen
City of Riverside,
Missouri
March 18, 1975
A regular meeting of the Hoard of Aldermen of the City of
Riverside, Missouri, was held in the City Hall inRiverside, Missouri,
on March 18, 1975, at 7s30 p.m. and upon a roll call, aldermen
Bailey, Grogan, 3wetnam, Vulgamott and West were present-, Fries absents
said meeting was called to order by Mayor C$amanske.
The Minutes of meeting of March 11, 1975, were read and
approved as read.

Jacob 10249 Kesler, Overland Park, Kansas, presented
application for change of address of his business of RX Tire
Sales from 2104 West Platte Road to 2605 West Platte Road. He said
he would have no outside business. The Hoard approved the change of
address.
F. F. Filger presented his drawing on the sewer recently completed.
Don Jack is to look it over and if same is in order, then it will be
dedicated to the City.
Larry Hendrix, 8819 Grandview, Overland Park, Kansas, inquired
vdhether or not he needed a building permit for the garage they have
set up for demonstration purposes only. The board was of the opinion
that a building permit was not needed so long as this would not be
for storage. Mr. Hendrix agreed that this would be for demonstration
purposes only and not for storage.
West moved that Bill No. 75-8 being bill providing for the
appropriation of money out of the general fund of the City of Rivereiah,
MisSOUri, for the payment of certain indebtedness as listed therein
be placed on its first reading, seconded by Vulgamott, the roll was
called and votes ware as follows: Bailey, Grogan, 3watnam, Vnl$amott
and West voted ayes Fries, absent, said bill was accordingly read.
Swetnam moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 75-8 be
placed on its second reading, seconded by 3wetnam, the roll was
called and votes were as follows: Bailey, Grogan, Swetnam, wlgamott
and West voted aye; Fries, absents said bill was accordingly read.
Grogan moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 75-8 be
placed on its third reading and -.upon passage of same become
Ordinance No. 75-8, seconded by West, the roll was called and
votes were as follows: Bailey, Grogan, Swetnam, Vulgaswtt and
West voted aye; Fries absent; said bill was accordingly read,

attached hereto, and made a part hereof, approved by Mayor Czamanske
and became Ordinance No. 75-8.
Mayor Czamanake announced that he had received a resignation

It was recommended that the Mayor write Rick Turner a
letter of appreciation on behalf of the City for all of his
services.
It was recommended that c3ary Hohimer make a survey of all
the items which the City of Riverside p~4 ~~b,,,a,~sed for the Parkville
Volunteer Fire Association and recoverfi~iMe from the Association.
A recess was called. Meeting reconvened.
Bill Hedgecock advised the Board that he was selling state
-- vehicle license and wanted to know if the City would allow him to
sell the City vehicle license. After a discussion, West moved
that the City allow the assignment of up to ~Wenty vehicle
City stickers at any one time to Bill Hedgecock Service Inc. to
be accounted for with the City every 30 days and upon a proper
application form indicating tht Bill Hedgecock Service Inc. is
not an agent of the City and with a fifty cents limitation on
the fee charged to the applicant over-and above the normal price,
seconded by c3rogan, the roll was called and all present voted
ayes Fries absent.
Shirley Hedgecock inquired whether a sign could be installed
at High Drive and 50th Street, and the Board thought this could
bs worked out.
Mayor Czamanske presented a flyer regarding the 1% sales
tax to be endorsed by the City. The matter was discussed and
then tabled.
There would be a public hearing `on the Zoning Code on
Tuesday, March 25, 1975, at the City Hall.
There being no further business, upon motion made, seconded
and passed, meeting adjourned.
