February 18, 1975 A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside, Missouri, was held in the City Hall in Riverside, Missouri, on February 18, 1975, at 7:30 P.M. and upon roll call, Aldermen Grogan, Swetnam, Vulgamott, Bailey, West were present, Fries absent, said meeting was called to order by Swetnam, Mayor Pro Tem, in the absence of Mayor Czamanske. Minutes of meetings of January 28 and February 4vere approved as read and corrected. James L. Webb, Cliff Manor Nursing Home, 6108 Oak Crest Drive, Kansas City, Missouri, 64151, requested extension of nursing home license to include Windemere Boarding Home, 3100 N. W. Vi~v~i~~o~n,,,RQad. Mr. Jack, City Engineer, advised that a sheet rock ceiling, 2 smoke 'des and a hand rail were to be installed. Motion was made by West, seconded by Grogan that said extension of license be approved subject to final inspection by Mr. Jack, roll was called and West, Vulgamott, Grogdn and Bailey voted aye; Fries absent. It was also brought out that Mr. Webb did not say that the new location is, or, is not, tied into the sewer„ Mr. Jack does~not think~~i~Jt is, .and this wU/i'~l'l„~'.`h`$'ve to be done before the license is issued. February 26, 1975, 7:30 P.M. was announced as the date of the public hearing on the new Zoning Order to be held at the City Hall. Gary L. Hohimer stated that he had written Judge Henry Miller in the form of an application for emergency Federal Funding for the Public Safety Department in the sum of ~~,000.00. This type of Federal Funding is disbursed by the County and would~he expenses of two public safety officers, 1 clerk typist, 1 maintenance man, for a total of 48 man/months. Gary L. Hohimer was asked to chec~o-~No~gavice or} Valley L Alderman West requested that ~e~yp~ on W. Platte Road and Valley Lane. Upon motion by Vulgamott, Bill No. 75-6 being bill providing for appropriation of money out of the general fund of the City for payment of certain indebtedness be placed on its first reading, seconded by West, roll was called and votes were. as follows: Bailey, Grogan, Vulgamott, West voted aye, Fries absent; said bill was accordingly read. Vulgamott moved rules be suspended and Bill No. 75-6 be placed on its second reading, seconded by Bailey, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Fries absent, Bailey, Grogan, Vulgamott, West voted aye; said bill was accordingly read. Grogan moved rules be suspended and Bill No. 75-6 be placed on its third reading, seconded by Bailey, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Fries absent, Bailey, Grogan, Vulgamott, WEst voted aye; said bill was accordingly read. ,~ Page 2 February 18, 1975 Don Jack advised that the Filqer sewer project inspection charges were $300.00 for 15 hours. The Bill was to be presented to Mr. Filger. It was brought out that the John Rieneke sewer has never been dedicated. Mr. Jack dtated that he had held up on this because of the district concept. Northside Mobile homes has accumulated water in front because of burbing. Mr. Jack will write to Highway Department to see what can be done about this problem. UPon Motion by Grogan, Seconded by Bailey, all voting in favor, said meeting adjourned.
