Meeting of Board of
Aldermen of City of
Riverside, Missari
December 10, 1974
A meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside,
_ Missouri, was held in the City Hall in Riverside, Missouri, on
December 10, 1974, and upon a roll call, Aldermen Fries, Grogan,
Swetnam, Vnlgamott and West were present, Bailey absents Mayor
Czamanske calling said meeting to order.
The minutes of Meeting of December 3, 1974 were read and approved
as written and corrected. / i
The Mayor advised that/with re~ard to the purchasing of the
fire truck, the contract and ordinance passed at the last meeting
were not satisfactory and the contract is being reviewed by the
City Attorney and the Seller. Mr. Witt is also to revise the
ordinance which was passed pertaining to the purchase of the fire
truck.
Mayor Czamanske also announced that the matter of City Occupation
License was to be discussed at this meeting, along with the matter
of another source of taxes.
West advised that the present budget was adequate for the
fiscal year ending June 30, 1975, however something would have to
be worked out for more income during the next fiscal year. The
matter of Revenue Sharing proceeds was explained.--- The way
the money was divided among the cities was dependent upon the
amount of taxes each resi~?ent of the city paid. (This was one
factor taken into consideration).
Arotl'~' matter brought out in the discussion was that if the
City did purchase th~r~jy~gl~ruck, then in order to have a fireman
on full time, it wou d/be necessary to qo to the previously discussed
Public Safety feature. This would mean more equipment for the
police department and two employees on full time.
The matter of the proposal which the City of Riverside made
to the CFA was discussed and the letter of CFA's acceptance
of the proposal and the basis on which they accepted.
West moved that Bill No. -.`:~ being bill accepting the proposal
-- made with the CFA as previously negotiated to cover the terms of
its letter, with the addition that any mee~~l~df~~ ~~~dfst reading,
residents or businesses in Riverside be re u e secon ed Grogan,
the roll was called and votes were as follows: Bailey-absent;
Fries-aye; Grogan-aye; Swetnam-nay; Vulgamott-nay, West-aye --

A recess was called.
Meeting reconvened.
The list of Businesses was reviewed and it was decide to write
a letter to any business which the Board felt should do any cleaning
up, change the sign, etc. and one-half would be asked to appear at
one meeting and the other half to appear at another meeting.

to appear before the Board were:

Mr. Witt advised that he was still working with the Seller on the
agreement and bond with regard to the purchasing of the new fire
truck.
There being no further business, mpon motion made, seconded
and passed, meetinc adjourned.
