A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside, Missouri was held in the @ity Hall in Riverside, Missouri on May 14, 1974, at 7:30 p.m. Upon a roll call, aldermen Bailey, Fries, Grogan, Swetnam, Vulgamott were present, West absent; and Mayor Czamanske calling said meeting to order. The minutes of the meeting of April 16, 1974, were read, corrected and approved. A quorum was not present for the meeting of Ma~* 7, 1974, therefore, no meeting was held. With regard to Mr. Battagolia obtaining licenses for his pinball business, that should he desire to have a pool table in his place of business it would be required that he appear before the Board of Aldermen to-obtain same. It was understood that Mr. Battagolia did have one pool table and did pay the $50.00 license fee, however, he did not appear before the Board. A letter was to be written to Mr. Battagolia f~u~ting t1~at hie appear before the Board on the First Tuesday in June to obtain this permit. Mr. Ace Carpenter,:3103 N.E. 59ah Tdrrace,__Gladstone, Missouri, ~~54.8341 appeared before the Board to obtain a license for Carpenter Brothers Carpet Company at 4501 N.W. Riverside Street. The space of their warehouse and store room would be under 5,000 sq. ft. The Board approved the application upon the payment of the license fee of $45.00 for 3/4 year - full year being $60.00. Mr. Jack Brown, 7703 N.W. Avalon, Kansas City, Missouri 64152, applied for business license for Brown Tree Expert at 2707 West Platte Road, Riverside, Missouri; he advised he would use this place for the parking of his vehicles. The Board approved the application subject to the paying of the fee of $45.00 for 3/4 of a year. The annual fee being $60.OQ. Mr. Fred Wendeln, 646 Orville, Kansas City, Kansas 66117, applied for business license for Hall Ice Cream Co. Chief Gary Hohimer requested that the vehicles used for vending Ice Cream have a double faced 5" flashing amber light on the driver's side. The Board approved Mr. Wendeln business application subject to his vehicles having a double faced 5" flashing light •n the driver's side and the fee of $78.75 be paid for 3/4 year - $105.00 --being the annual fee. Mr. Steve Barquist, 5044 N. Euclid, Kansas City, Missouri 64118, presented application for Hot Rocks Record Store at 4137 Riverside Street. A motion was made, seconded and passed that this matter be tabled until notified by Gary Hohimer when the matter now pending in the Police Court is resolved.
