A special meeting of the Board of ~~ldermen of the City of
Riverside, Missouri was held in the City Hall in Riverside, Missouri
on M-.,y 8, 1973, at 7:30 p.m. and upon a roll c::ll aldermen

The minutes of regular meeting of May 1, 1973, were held
for re .ding and :~pprov_.1 until the neat meeting on Mwy 15, 1973.
Mr. Norris w,s present with application for occupation license
to operate the Jet Dinar, a letter was received from the Platte
County He,lth Department, approving the building for the Jet Diner,
and the aldermen approved the applic-a.tion, the fee being --w~5.00 for
the reminder of 1973•
Mr. Clifford of Solvent Supply Cor:pans~ p~ esented his occupation
license ap;.;lic tion ;.nd same was +pproved subject to approv 1 by Don
J.~3ek on the building plans for storage of g~~soline containers.
`The Hoard of aldermen then went into gener:a.l discussion con-
cerning financial nd budgetary m~~tters for the City. It w s
decided that on P1 y 22, 1y73, the Police Department would have its
budget reviewed and the gener,;.l discussion concerning administration
and roads would be further considered and discussed at the May 22,
1973, meeting.
A pl:~n to alloc:.te ~~ of the gross receipts tax on utilities
would b= ear-m_rked for c:.pitr.l improvements on roads, ~ ~pproxirriately
~;y25, X00 for the next fiscal ye:zr on street lighting and road repairs.
'also discussed was approximately X6,000 for ~ sewer line from City
Hall, maintenance on City Hall at „1,200 and .;1,500 concerning the
City fall diamond.
Gener_..l figures were discussed concerninb the proposed Fire
Department and a special meting was c a led and announcment given
to c,ll Hoard members present for a meeting M~;y 1' 1973 to consider
the Community Fire association 's propos:;1 on a fire district for
southern Platte County. The special meeting is to be held at City
Hall and only item nn the agenda will be the proposed fire district.
Dick Grogan came to the meeting at approximately 8:30 p.m.
