July 11, 1972 A Special meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside, Misouri was held in the City Hall in Riverside, Missouri on July 11, 1972, at 6:30 p.m. and upon a roll call, aldermen Bailey, Fries, S~etnam and Vulgamott were present, Grogan and Shelton absent, Mayor Czamanske calling said meetingt~ order, stating the purpose of the special meeting was to pay certain bills which were pending since - April and also other matters which needed to be taken care of immediately. It was agreed to dispense with the regding of the minutes for the regular meeting. The Board of Aldermen approved the license application for the auto paint shop presented by Mr. Darratta. Vulgamott moved that the City pay the Clerks of Election for working April 4, 1972 and bill the School Board RS District for one half of this and also for 1/2 of the amount paid the clerks in April, 1971, and also 1/2 of the amount the City expended for the food for the Clerks in 1971 (April), seconded by Bailey, the roll was called and all present voted in favor, Grogan and Shelton absent. A list of the items pointed out on the tour of the City made by the aldermen and mayor was handed to the council members, and it was decided to study this list and have a discussion on same at the next ~gular meeting. However, it was decided to handle the trailer courts as a separate item, the businesses as a sepa mte item and the residences as a separate item. Another matter discussed was the matter of operating the budget on a basis from Jan. 1 to December 31 or from July 1 to June 30. After a discussion was had, it was decided to go on the July 1 to June 30 schedule. The aldermen authorized the transfer of funds fron the Police Court account to the savings account. Mr. Hohimer advised that the police department purchased from the Kansas City Police Department the Paddy Wagon for the sum of $800.00, which was from money that the Police Department had acquired from different functions they had. Mr. Hohimer wanted permission to place the present wagon for sale, plus the other wagon they presently have, and the money received from these two wagons would go into the City's fund. All present agreed this would be in order. There being no further business, upom notion duly made, seconded and passed, meeting adjourned.
