A regular meting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of River-
side, Missouri, was held in the City Hall in Riverside, Mo., on September 7,
1971, at 8:00 p.m. and upon a roll call, aldermen Bailey,Fries,Layton, ~
Shelton, Swetnam, and Vulgamott were present, Mayor Filger calling said
meeting to order.
Minutes of meeting of August 17, 1971, were read and accepted
as read.
Mr. Hon presented application and plans to build 108 units
in apartments, and after a discussion was had with regard to the sewage
problem which would have to be worked out before the apartments could
be put to use.
Shelton moved that the City approve Mr. Hon's building
applications subject to satisfactory solution to the sewage disposal
problem in proposed sewer district no. 2, seconded by Fries, the roll ~1
was called and Bailey,Fries,Shelton,Layton add Vulgamott voted aye; 1~
Swetnam voted nay.
Shelton moved that Don Jac$ do the preliminary work on
proposed sewer district No. 2, Fries seconded the motion, the roll was
called and all voted in favor.
Swetnam moved that Mr. Jack make a survey of the water supply
for the apartments to be built and that Mr. Hon is to pay for the
work involved, seconded by Vulgamott, the roll was called and votes
were as follows: Fries, Swetnam, Shelton and Vulgamott voted aye;
Bailey and Layton Nay.
Shelton moved that a letter be Britten to Lake Waukomis
advising that they were behind in the 1969 monthly installments for
dispatching service and that they are beluind in 1970 and didnt sign
the agreement nor pay the properamount for 1971, and if this amount is
not paid by September,l5, 1971, the dispatching service will be dis- ~P
continued, Swetnam seconded themotion, the roll was called and votes
were as follows: All present voted in favor.
Don Jack advised that the manhole in Woodland Avenue was
now complete and the work was performed as he had recommended and i ~
was in order to pay Woodside Construction the amout owed him. /' ~~--°~i

Mr. Iverson reported that the end of Cereto Lane in Seven-O s Addition
was getting to be a bad situation and wanted to know if something could ~
be worked out maybe the street extended whrh would be about 35 feet.
The matter was to be looked into and the cost of same to be gotten. r- , ~

Upon motion by Swetnam and seconded by Fries, Bill No.~~~~ for the
p ayment of certain indebtedness as listed therein be placed on its
first reading,xss~ex~s~x~l[ the Roll was called and votes were as follows:
Bailey, Layton, Fries, Shelton, Swetnam and Vulgamott voted aye; said
bill was accordingly read.
Swetnma moved that rules be suspended and said bill be placed on its
second reading, seconded by F=ies, the roll was called and votes were
as follows: Bailey,Layton,Fries,Shelton,Sweltnam and Vulgamott voted ale
said bill was accordingly read,
Swetnam moved that rules be suspended and said bill be placid on its
third reading and upon passage of same become ord. No. /'~~ seconded
by Fries, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Bailey, Fries

There being no further business, upon motion iugde, seconded and
