Aldermen of City of
Riverside, Mo.

A re;ular meeting of the board of aldermen of the city of Riverside,
Missouri was Held in the City Hall on August 17, 1.'71, at d:00 p.m.
and upon a roll call, aldermen Bailey, i~[~[;x~ci~= 3nelton,
Swetnam and Vul=amott present, Fries and Bayton absent.
Minutes of re ular meeting of Aug. 3, 171 were read and accepted
as read after correcting that part with reference to the manhole
in Woodland street, and Hereafter referrin~~ to the same as
manhole for Woodland Street.
Mr. Hohimer wanted to know when the next plannin;~ Commisision~s meeting
tas to be held, and ne was advised on August 31, 1`~fl.
Mr. Herzog of Nor~:na inquired with regard to the problem ne was
having at His place of business and wanted to prevent it before is
does ,-,et out of nand and wanted to know the procedure to do this.
He was advised to contact the p~liee department.
The matter of 50th street was broagnt up and thought Don Jacks should
set up a meeting with the Highway people to see if anytnir~ could be
done about keeping; this street open. Tne council suggested that ne
set up a meetin_; with the Highway people to meet with the Council,
City Attorney, City Engineer and the planning commission to see what
could pe worked out.
Mr. Jack reported the Manhole on Woodland was underway and that
the city was ready to repave the street, Mr. Azoraky was to place
the cement curbs on His port of Woodland. Also tree matter oP the
sewer for Greens Trailer Park was brought up and that to date Mrs.
Breen Has not paid a4r money and no one~nas contacted the person in

Tne matter of Eirenner Ridge Trailer parkts sewers was brought up
ana Don Witt wanted to know what should be done about the other
matters iA litigation, oti6er than the sewers. He wanted to know
the City~s desire with regard to either trying the suit or dismissing
same, as ne Has Had it continued many times.
Tne matter o2' ~~,e sewer running in ditch in front of the Plywood
business, and stated that after an inspection was mile, this was not
Prom the Plywood place as they had no sewerll facilities iri the place.
Tne matter of Kalivas Lagoon was brought up and it was th.ou_;ht that
the place was practically filled in and grown up with weeds.

Vulgamott stated tn~t Elmer Rose stated he would ;grade the

and it was decided to do it in this manner.
She~on moved that bill No. D-71-14 being bill providing for the
appropriation of monk out of the ge~F.Ral fund of the City for the
payment of certain indebtedness as listed therein Pax be placed
on its first reading, seconded by Bailey, the roll was called and
votes were as follows: Bailey, Shelton, Swetnam, Vulgamott voted
aye; Fries and Layton absent, said Bill No. D-71-14 was accordingly
read.
Sneton moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D-71-14 be placed
on its second read,in, seconded by Bailey, the roll was called and
votes were as follows: Bailey, Shelton, Swetnam and Vulgamott voted
aye; F~ltes and Layton absent, said bill was accordingly read.
Shelton more that rules desuspended and Bill No. D-71-14 be placed
on its third reading, and upon passe a of same become Ord. No. D-71-14,
s conded by Bailey, the roll was called and votes were as follows:
Bailey, Shelton, Swetnam, Vulgamott voted aye; Fries and Layton ageenfi;
said bill was accordin ly read approved by Mayor Filer and became
Ord. No. D-71-14.
