The Minutes of May 1~, 1971 were read and .after makinP. the correction of the matter of )00.00 requested by the Little League Baseball as help $•om City of Riverside, for new lighting, that this matter would be taken into c onsoder?Cion and. under ~dvisement~ the minutes were then approved as Eorrected. Mr. Rapp of Parkville Volunteer Fire department came and spoke regarding the need for certain radio equipment for the Lepartment and stated that these receiving sets which were needed were being donated by the different cities and that this would improve the service of the is nartnent; he stated that the Community yire venartrnent has cgnsented to purchase four units, Parkville two unites now and two at a later date; Platte i~Joods nurch~sing rne, City of north Moore purchu~ing one a.nd D~~%~I8C3tl~y Houston Lake one. These cost ~151~.OOper unit and they would like to get 15. Upon motion by `~ul.gamott that the City Parch-,se two, seconded by Swetnam the ro]_] was called aid all present voted in favor; Bailey absent. T?r. R•aop wanted to talk ,bout another thing; that was the collection of fire dues and wanted to see whether there was any what' of trying to incre se the payments by the people. end another thing was the increase of disoatchingervice from the Community Fire Lena tment which w &s increased to '800.00. Thise matters would be discused and taken under advisement after a discussion on s ame. Bailey was present this portion of meeting. aim G. Brashers of Ray County, NLissouri stated he~~ms an engineer and wou]_d like to do the work for City of Riverside, Missouri, he talked of what work he had done that he has an office i.n Parkville and. ha.d ~~one wrrk for Buford. He stated he ha.d worked for the Missouri Highw~ry rena~tment and. also for other cities. This matter was to be disc,>ssed further. Mr. McKeon was present to riiscuss the Clay-Platte Little L~~age Baseball problem with rbights, and stated they had gotten ho~ecoE bids on installing lights and stated the lowest so far as "..°30^0.00 KCPR~L and `"2,]_22.~:~ for equipment. However, the City Oouncil requested that this matter be nut off for awhile. Shelotn moved that ~ letter be written Mr. on K. ~ux•dy regarding the matter of the <sttorney George Mallon turning over his assignment of codification of the City Ordinances to ~Ir. Purdy, seconded by Layton, the roll was called and votes were as follows: All voted in favor. Swetnam moved that Bill No.1~3-1 tieing bill directing City Attorney to institute an injuncti n action against UJarren Brenner or owner of Brenner Ridge 'Prai er Pakr to enjoin violationG of sewage ordinaces d the maintenance of a nuisance and authorizing the City attorney to take such other ctions as he ma.y in his discretio n 'm proper, seconded by Shelton, the roll k*as called and Bailey, Layton, Fries, Shelton, r>wetnam, Vulgamott voted aye; Bill No. 1$$-!t was accordingly read. Swetnam moved that rules be suspended and Bi11 TJo. 173-1 be placed on its second reading seconded by Shelton, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Bailey, Layton, Fries, Shelton, Swetan m and Vulgamott troted acre; Bill No. 173-1 was accordingly read. Rosenezir as Hill time policeman beginning May 3, ~)61, for the salary of w-565.00 per month, plus insurance and uniforma; Shelton seconded the motion; the roll was called and all voted in favor. The matter of t~y~e raw sewage from Oreen~s trailer court was brought up; and it was decided to have Mr. Witt write the letter to Jackie ?reen, e/o Pat Edmonds and also a cony to °at Edmonds. Layton moved that Bill ?J o.
