February 16, 1971
A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside,
Missouri was held on February 16, 1971, at 8:00 in the City Ball in
Riverside, and lupon a roll call, aldermen Bailey, Layton, Brenner,
Swetnam, and Vulgamott were present, Shelton absent, and Mayor Filger
_ Aljsent; Mr. Swetnam, calling said meeting to order and acting Mayor
throughout the remainder of the meeting.
Minutes of meetong of February 2, 1971 were read and accepted as
read.
Jim Higgins permit for occupation license was put on motion, seconded
and uanimously passed.
Layton moved that permit for restaurant requested by Raymond J. Walker,
be approved, seconded by Bailey, the roll was called and it was
unanimously approved.
Ricks Tow Service and Bobby Bill's Custom Meats and Delicatessen
Brub Shack (Charles E. Visceli) application for license were
approved by the council.
Layton moved, seconded by Bailey that Bill No. 206-R-8 be placed on
its first reading and that reading of said bill be suspended, seconded
by Bailey, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Brenner-
Bailey- Layton- Vulgamott- voted aye; Shelton absent; and Swetnam, acting
as Mayor, said bill was Approved by Acting Mayor Swetnam and became
Ordinance No. 206-R-8.
Layton moved that the police department have permission to purchase
three chairs not to exceed $94.95 each, seconded by Bailey, the
roll was called and all present voted in favor.
Bailey moved that the hobs in High Drive be patched just as soon
as permissible, and it was agreed to do so, Vulgamott would contact
Mr. Booth. Also 50th Street was to be repaimd.
Vulgamott moved that dispense with reading of Bill No. D-71-4, same
being for disbursement of monies for the payment of indebtedness as
listed therein, seconded by Brenner, the roll was called and all
voted in favor, said bill was passed and approved by Acting Mayor
Swetnam,
There being no further businesses, upon motion by Layton, and seconded
that meeting adjourn, said meeting adjourned /
