HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971-01-19Minutea of Regular Meeting of R oard of Alderr:ien City of River$~de, Missouri January 1_;, 19'Tl A re_ular r:!eeting of the Board of Aldermen of City of Riverside, Missouri was held in the City Hall on January l~, 19?l, at 8:00 plm. upon a roll call, aldermen Bailey, Layton, Shelton, Swetnam and Vulgamott were present, Brenner absent, said meeting was called to order by Mayor Fiber. Minutes of regular meting of Jan. 5, were read and accepted as read. Shelton moved that an ad be m.a~~a~x placedjn the paper for a consulting engineer, seconded by Layton, the roll was called and Bailey, Shelton Layton, Swetnam and Vulgarr~tt voted aye; Brenner absent. Vulgamott moved that Bill Nc. 55-10 being bill providin~~; for penalties to persons resisting or obstrucing process, resisting arrest, resistin;~ an officer and same was seconded by Swetnam, the roll was called and Bailey, Layton, SY~elton, Swetnam, Vulgamott voted aye; Brenner absent, Bill No. 55-10 was accordin~y read. Vulgamott moved that rules be suspended and bill No. 55-10 be placed on its second reading, seed by Swetnam, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Bailey,Layton,Shelton,Swetnam,Vulgamott voted aye; Brenner absent; Bill No. 55-10 was accordingly read. Vulgamott moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 55-10 be placed on its third reading and upon passage B~ same become Ord. No. 55-10 seconded b;, Swetnam, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Bailey, Shelton, Layton, Swetnam, Vulgamott voted aye; Brenner absent; Bill No. 55-10 was accordingly read, approved by Mayor Fiber and became Ordinance No. 55-10. Shelton moved that the police department be given permission to purchase a license book and Criss-cross file, seconded by Bailey, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Bailey, Baytcn, Shelton, Swetnam, and Vulgamott voted aye; Brenner absent, . Shelton moved that 14pi$~ Bill No. D-'71-2 being bill pro~,~idin;; far t;~:e pa~~nen., o~ c~:°ta:Ln indebtedness as listed therein be placedn on its first reading, seconded by Vulgamott, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Bailey, Layton, Shelton, Swetnam, Vulgamott voted aye; Brenner absent, Bill No. D-71-~ was accordingly read. Shelton moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D -71-2 be placed on its second reading;, seconded by Vulgamott, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Bailey, Layotn, Shelton, Swetnam, Vulgamott voted aye; Brenner absent; Bill No. D-71-2 was accordingly read.
