- A regular meetin; of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside,
Missouri was held in the City Hall in Riverside, on January 5, 1~"71,
at 8:00 p.m, and upon a roll call, aldermen Bailey, Layton, Shelton,
Swetnam present, Brenner absent for roll call only and Vulga otrYti.~~~~

Minutes of Dece;nber 15, 1?70, were read and approved as read.
Collectors report for cr~onth of Decen;ber, 1y70, was read and accepted.

Myers (City Engineer) spoke with regard to the sewers and that
we needed an ordinance requiring a permit for a hook-up in the
sewers and that also would base to settle the matter of the distance
people would have to be from the sewer to require them to hook in
the sewers.
Shelton i:-:oved that the police department ham permission to purchase
two conference tables not to exceed $400, seconded by Layton,
the roll was called and all Voted in favor.
Shelton mo:red that the police department be authorized to sell
the cabinets out of the kitchen for. a sum not under $187.00,
seconded by Laytnn, the 1'011 was called and all voted in fa'~or.
Swetnam ~r~oved that Bill No. D-'71-1 being; bill proT~idin;~; for the
appropriation of rloney out of the general f~.rnd of tho City of Riverside,
Missouri for the payrrent of certain indebtedness as listed therein
be placed on its first readin;, seconded by Brenner, the roll
was called and Brenner, Bailey,Layton,Shelton,Swetnar~~ and Vulga,~ott
voted aye; Bill No. D-71-1 was accordingly read.

on its second rea.din~, seconded by Brenner, the roll was called
and votes were as follows:Bailey,Brenner,Shelton,Layton,Swetnam,
and Vulgamott doted aye; Bill No. D-71-1 wa accordingly read.
