A re ular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside, Missouri was held on Decenber 15, 170, at X3:00 pm, in the City Hall in Riverside, and upon a roll call, aldermen Bailey, Brenner, Shelton, Swetnam present, Vul;amott absent for. roll call only and Layton absent. Said n:eetin~ was called to order by Mayor Fil;_;er. Minutes of meeting• of December 1, 1;70 wasaread add accepted as read . TreasurerYS reports for months of Aug, Sept. and Oct, ly'(0 were read add accepted as read. James F. Pettijohn's application for a storage building was approved; Curtis Brenne-r's application for remodeling house was appro~.~ed; P. K. Gentry's building applicaticn was approved; and Koehler Building Co's application was approved. Vul';amott rr,oved that Bill No. 15-A-5 being bill entering into a contract between the City of Riverside, Missouri and Maple Woods `- Community College to cooperate in the College Work-Study Program, be placed on its first reading, seconded by Bailey, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Bailey, Brenner, Shelton, Swetnam, and Vizlgamott voted aye; Layton Absent, said Bill was accordingly read . Vulgamott n;oved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 15-A-5 be placed on its second reading, secndded by Bailey the roll was called and votes were as follows: Bailey,Brenner,Shelton,swetnarr~,Vulgamott voted aye; Layton absent; said bill was accord inly read. Vulgarnott moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 15-A-5 be placed on its third readin and upon passage of same become Ordinance No. 15A-5, seconded by Bailey, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Bailey,Brenner,Shelton,Swetnam and Vul;arnott voted aye; Layton absent. Said bill was accordingly read, approved by Mayor Fiber and becarre ordinance No. 15A-5. Brenner moved that Bill No. 15A6 bein bill providing for the employment of two full time policemen under the Missouri Highway Safety Department program beginning at a salary of $565.00 per month for the first three months and increased for the remaining nine months to $575.00 per !month, beginin,J: December 1, 1y70, seconded by Swetnam, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Brenner, Shelton, Stetna'r, and Vulgarnott voted aye; 3f~ Bailey absent this portion of meeting, and Layton absent; Bill 15A6 was accordingly read. Brenner moved that rules be suspended and Bill 15A6 be placed on its second reading, seconded by Swetnam, the roll was called and votes were as follows:P_,renner, Shelton,Swetnam and Vulgarnott voted aye; Bailey and Layton absent; Said bill was accordingly read. Shelton moved that bill No. D-70-23 being bill providing for the appropriation of money out of the general fund of the city of Riverside, for the payrr;ent of certain indebtedness as listed tY~ein be placedon its first readin;, seconded by Brenner, the roll was called and votes were asfollows: Brenner, Shelton, Sw~nan; and Vulgamott voted aye; Bailey and Laytor: absent; said bill was accordingly read. Shelton moved that Bill D-7U-2; re placed on its second wading, seconded by Brenner, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Brenner,Shelton,Swetnar~,Vul~amott voted aye; Bailey and Layton absent, said bill was accordingly read. Shelton moved that rules be suspended and Bill D-'(0-23 be placed on its third reading and upon passage of same become Ord. No. D-70-23, seconder ,, by Brenner, the roll was aalled and votes were as follows: Brenner, Shelton, Swetnam,Vulgamott voted aye; Bailey and Layton absent; Bill Minutes of Regular netting of Dec. 15, 1y70 Page 2, • D=To-23 was accordin„ly read, approved by ~aIayor Filer and became '~ Ord.
