HomeMy WebLinkAbout1970-10-16Minutes of Re ,ular Meeting; of B oard of Alder~.T;en City of Riverside, Misso~zri October 16, 7:70 !` A re,=;ular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City ofRiverside, was held in the City Hall in Riverside, on October 16, 1,70, at 8:00 p.rn, and upon a roll call, Aldermen Bailey,Brenner,Layton,Shelton,Swetnam and Vu1:-amott were present, Mayor Filger Calling said meeting to order. Minutes of October 6, 1'70, were read and accepted as read. Layton moved that the city purchase a new Mercury automobile for Police Dept., for the sum of $2121.00 with trade in, seconded by Vul~:anot~, the roll was called and all voted in favor. ` Layton moved that Morth Park Elec. chetnge the light panel switches, for the sum of $404.00, seconded by Bailey, the roll wa3 called and all voted infavor. Bailey moved that the police department salaries be increased as follows; as of Nove~.rber 1, 1`x:70, Hohimers to 700.00 per nonth Wilcox, to $$8$.00 per r~?ontID and Lehmann to .00 per month. seconded by Layton, the roll was called and all voted fn favor. The bul].din_~; applications of Gro`;an, Vulgamott and Gieseke were approved. Bill No. D-70-1;, being bill providin~_; for the appropriation of mon@y out of the general fund of the City of Riverside, Missouri for the pay.~,ent of certain indebtedness was noted to be placed on its first readin~~ by Layton, seconded by Brenner, the roll was called and Bailey,Brenner,Layton,Shelten,Swetna~~ and Vulanott voted aye; Bill No. D-70- ly was accordingly read. Rules were susepnded and Bill No. D-70-1 was pplaced on its second reading by Layton, seconded by Brenner, the roll was called and votes were as follows:Bailey, Brenner,Layton,Shelton,Swetna~n,Vulgamott voted aye; Bill No. D-70-1~ was accordingly read. Layton moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D-70-1 be placed on its third readin and upon passage of same become Ord. No. D-70-1'„ seconded by Brenner, the roll was card and votes were as follows: Bailey,Brenner,Shelton,Layton,Swetnam and Young iaoted aye; Bill Nc. D-70-1~ was accordingly mad, approved by Mayor Filoer and became Oral. No. D70-ly, There being no further business, upon motion duly made and seconded, meeting adjourned. . _ _-~~_J
