A re_ular meetin;; of the Board of Alder<<~en of The City of Riverside
Missouri was held in the City hall in Riverside on September 15, 1;70, at 8:00
upon a roll call, alder;nen Bailey, Layton Shelton, Swetnam and Vulgamott were
present, Brenner absent, and said meetin; called to order by Mayor Fiber.
Minutes of re ularmeetin of September 1, 1,'70 and Special meetin of
September 8, ~~70 were read add accepted.
The matter of the seller for District No. 16 was discussed
and it was decided that Attorney Witt, Engineer Myers and the other
parties interested therein were to the final a~=reement and approval by
the CityAttorney.
Mr. Myers atlso showed plans with re_ard to widenin, Highdrive,
so that it would be completed before the hir;hway department proceeded with

Upon motion by Layton and seconded by Vulgamott, that Bill,/~be
placed on its first reading-, for the hirin_ of Geneva P. Nelson as Police
Court Clerk, for the sane salary ($40.00) per month as previously
paid, and the same become effective as of September 15, 1;70, ~~e roll
was called and votes were as follows: Bailey, Layton, Shelton, Swetnam
and Young voted aye; Brenner absent.

Layton moved thar rules be suspended and Bill No. be placed on
its second reading, seconded by Vulgamott, the roll was called and votes
were as follows: Bailey, yton, Shelton, Swetnam, Vul,_;amott voted aye;
Brenner absnet, Bill No!~ as accordin ly read. ~~~ ~
Layton mo-ed that rules be suspended and Bill No. be plated on its
third readin_, and upon passa ,e of same become Bill NoJJ`Ay seconded by

Layton moved that Bill No. D-70-17b bdn` bill providin, for the
appropriation of money out of the ;eneral fund of the City of Riverside for
the payment of certain indebtedness be placed on its first readin_,, seconded
by Vulgamott, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Bailey, Shelton,
Swetnam, Layton, and Vulgamott voted aye; Brenner, abenset, Bill No. D-70-17
was accordingly read.
Layton moved that rules be suspended add Bill No. D-70-17b be placed
on its second eeading, seconded by Vulgamott, the roll was called-and votes
were as follows: Bailey,Shelton,Layton,Swetnarn and bulgamott doted aye;
Bill No. D-70-17 was accordingly read.
Layton moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D=jO-17 be placed
on its third reading and upon passa.e of same become Ord. No. D-70-17, seconde
by Vul;~amott, the roll was called and rotes were as follows:Bailey,Layton,
Shelton,Swetnam,~[ulga~nott voted aye; Brenner absent, Bill No. D-70-17 was
accordingly read, approved by Mayor Fil,Jer and became Ordinance No. D-70-17:
