A re ;_?lar ~:;eeting of the board of aldern;en of the City of Riverside,
Missouri was held in the city Hall in Riverside, Mo. on August 18, 170,
and upon a roll, call, Alder+nan, Bailey, Brenner, Shelton, Swetnam, and
Mayor Fiber C lling said meeting to order, Layton absent and Vulgamott
absent first portion of meetin?.
Minutes of Meeting of August 4, 1,70 were read and accepted as read.

Mr. Myers and Mr. G esham discussed with the council~ithe wQ$~ way j
50th street by the Twrin Driverin was constructed and accozzdin; to the
Engineer, this was not the way he had given plans. The council stated
that Mr. Myers was the City Engineer and also the En_ineer for LuVaughn
and that Mr. Myers stated he would do what was right for the city and
that it was then agreed Mr. Myers would handle further with Mr. Vaughn.
Mym Myers stated he has written the Hi;-,hway Department with regard
to a ramp from 50th street to I~35 and feels that the city will ;het
it.
Mry Myers also stated that since there was no district 16, that
an ordinance had to be set up establishing such district and this is the
one where Warren Brenner will pay for the construction of sewers in
sewer district No. 16, ter a lengthy discussion was had, upon motion
by Vulgamott that ~g~~~~ No. 343-32 be placed on its first readin;,
seconded by Brenner, the roll was called and Bailey, Brenner, Shelton,
Swetnar.:, and Vu l:-anott ~oteddaye, Layton absent; Bill No. 343-32
was accordingly read.
Brenner ?oved that rules be suspended and Bi11 No. ~43-32 e placed on
its second reading seconded by Bailey, the roll was ca and votes
were as follows: Bliley,Brenner,Shelton,Swetnar~, and Vul~garnott votednaye~
Layton absent, Bill No. 343-32 was accordingly read.
Shelton moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 343-32 be placed
on its third reading and upon passage of same become Ord. No. 343-32,
seconded by Vulgamott, the roll was calle a ~ nv ~~ cress follows:

was accordin;_;ly read, approved by Mayor Filger and became Ord. No. 343-32.
Upon rnotion by Bailey ghat Bill No~.~ 34...3-33~ein; bill authorizing the
execution of a contract with Warren brenrTer,~ Quick-Trip Corporation,
Bank of Riverside, providin_~ for an escrow deposit and for the construction
of a sewer district and the issuance of specialtax bills for sewer
District No. 16 in the City of Riverside, Missouri, be placed on its first
reading, seconded by Vulgamott, the roll was called and votes were as
follows: Bailey,Brenner,Shelton,Swetnam,Vulgamott voted aye; Layton absent,
Bill No. 343-33 was accord in-;,ly read.
Vulgamott moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 343-33 be placed
on its second reeding, seconded by Shelton, the roll was called and votes
were as follows: Bailey,Brenner,Shelton,Swetnam, and Vulgamott voted aye;
Bayton absent, Bill No. 343-33 was accordingly read.
Brenner, moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 343-33 be placed
on its third reading and lupon passage of sane become Ord. No. 343-33
seconded by Bailey, the roll was called and votes were asf ollows:

absent, Bill No. 343-33 was accordin;_;ly read, approved by Maory Filter
and became Ord. No. 343-33.
Mr. Panus requested thathe bid s for the district No. 16 sewers be
readvertised as there was no such district asthe No. 16, prior this this
meeting, and the advertising was to be run again and authorized to open
bids on september 8, and if not possibe to het in paper in time then
will be open at the September 15, 1y70 meeting.
'£he building application of Charles Kakler was approved. Mr. Breen
preseti7ed plans for an apartment project wd~ch property was approved by
the zoning board and the council had no objection, and a letter
stating that the zoning board had approved the request for rezoning from
District a to District b.
Vulgamott moved that Bill No. D-70-15 being bill providng for the
appropriaton of funds out of the general funds for the paymebt of
certain indebtedness as listed therein be placed on its first reading,
seconded by Bailey, the roll was called and Bailey,Brenner,Sheltonl
Swetnam, Vulgamott voted aye; Layton absent, Bill No. D-~0-15 was according l;
read,

on its second reading, seconded by Bailey, the roll was called and
votes were as follows: Bailey, Brenner, Ls~x Shelton, Swetnam,

Vulgamott moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D-70-1

There being no further business, upon motion made and seconded
and unanimously passed, the meeting adjourned.
