HomeMy WebLinkAbout1970-06-16Minutes of Regular Meeting of Board of Aldermen of City of Riverside, Missouri June 16, 1?70 A reular meeting of the Board of Alder•:a,en of the City of Riverside, Missouri was held in the City Hall in Riverside on June 16, 1~7G, at 8:00 p.m, and upon a roll call, aldermen Bailey, Layton,Shelton, Swetna!ro - and Vulgamott present, Brenner absent for roll call and reading of minutes, Mayor Filger calling said meeting to order. Minutes of June 2, 170 were read and accepted after correcting that portion with re~ardin,~ for approval of application for liquor license by Quick ~$~pk. A short recess was called and meeting reconveniened. r PP A discussion was had with re,aPd to the approval of application for Quick `~i~~Bk for packa_e beer, the attorneys for Quick Check stated that there is no dispute that their application is for retail beer by packa;Je license only, they stated that as it now stands t'r,at if this license is ;ranted, then this would reduce the liquor by she drink by one in the city Since the matter for approval of he license app13_cation at the rneetin~ of June 2, 170, ended in a tied the Mayor advised he would cast hip vote at the next meetin;~, Mayor Filger advised the matter had been worked out between parties irvclved and 'chat he would cast his vote in favor of the application for been~by ~ p~~l~ ense on ~y~ presented by nick Trip Corporations ~; ~ ~,y ,~; Upo motion ma°~ d seconded by elton and Bailey respectively that a bill lin!iting the number of liquor licenses and amending Section ~- 23 of Ordinance 87-3 and repealing all provisions of prior ordinances in conflict therewith, be placed on its second readin,_, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Bailey, Bren Layton, Shelton, Swetnan~, Y~ Vulga~nott voted aye; Bill N 87-3-A1 e p~~~x~x~.~ accordingly read. ~,,_~_,,,_~ Shelton moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. ~7-3-A1 be placed on its second reading, seconded by Bailey, the roll was called and Bailey, Brenner,Layton,Shelton,Swetna~-~,Vulgamott voted aye; Bill. No. 87-3-A1 was according-;ly read. Shelton moved that riles be saspended and Bill No. 87-3-a1 be placed on its third readinU~ and upon passa_,e Q' same be come Ord. No. 87-3-A1, seconded by Baile6, the roll was called and all votes were as follows: Bailey,Brenner,Layton,Shelton,Swetnam,Vulgamott voted aye; Bill No. 87-3-A1 was accordingly read, approved by Mayor Filger and becar-e Ord.
