March 3, 1970 A reg~_ilar meet~_ng of the Board of /9ldermen of the City of River- side, Missouri was held in the City Hall in Riverside, Missouri on March 3, 1y70, at 8:00 p,m, and upon a roll call, aldermen Brenner, Shelton, Swetnam and Young were present, Bailey and Lay~on absent; Mayor H'ilger calling; said m~~etinP to order. Minutes of reg_1ar meeting of February 17, 170 were read and accepted. Mr. Myers stated that he would prepare a statement regarding; all the users on the sewer line and that a ledger for this pur~;ose s',iould be ke;:~t. That only one person has paid and that person is again behind in the f~ayments. He also talked to Parkville Water Company and regarding their collecting for the sewage usage in Riverside, and they advised Mr. Myers that Mr. Dorsey had presented them with an ordinance and they had some changes to make in it and that Mr. Dorsey was to make the certain changes. At the present time Mr. Myers said there is $3,673.y8 outstanding which has never been billed or collected, He had taken it upon himself to bring this down to date and perhaps this would start the collection. Mr. Young also stated he talekd with the people from the water company from 1Qlexico, Missouri and they also told him that Mr, Dorsey presented them with an ordinance and they had made some changes and Dorsey was to return the Ordinance, however they had not received the Ordinance. Motion was made seconded and carried that Mr. Myers purchase a ledge in which to keep record of the sewage bills. Upon motion by Young and seconded by Swetnam, that Mr. Myers set up tax bills for the sewers recently installed, that this be Bill No. 343.3$, the roll was called and votes were as follows Brenner, jraxir.~n, Shelton, Swetnam and Young voted aye; Bailey and Layton absent; Bill No. 343-38 was accordingly read. Swetnam moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 343-38 be placed on its second reading, seconded by Shelton, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Brenner, Shelton, Swetnam and Young voted ayel Bailey, and Layton absent, Bill No. 343-38 was accordingly read. Swetnam moved that rules be suspended and Bill No.343-38 be placed on its third reading and if same passes, it beo~ne Ordinance No.343-3$ seconded by Brenner, the roll was called and votes were as Pillows: Brenner, Shelton, Sw#nam and Young voted aye; Bailey and Layton absent; Bill No. 343-38 was accordingly read, approved by Mayor Filger and became Ordinance No. 343-38. Mry Myers was also to het abstraction in Platte City, so he would know the owners of the property involved. Mr. Myers stated that E1Chapperal apartments were to be put into a sewer district, No. 17. and that upon motion by Shelton and seconded by Swetnam, that 0~~#xaAee-N-bill No. 343-37 being bill setting forth Sewer District No. 17, be placed on its first reading, seeeede~-bg the roll es called and votes were as follows: Brenner, Shelton, Swetnam and ica[~eic~a young voted aye; Bailey and Layton absent; Bill No. 343-37 was accordingly read. Brenner moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 343-37 be placed on its third reading and upon passage of same become Ord. No. 343-37 bhe roll ~s aalled and votes were as foIlows: Baenner, Shelton, Swetnam and Young voted aye; Bailey and Layton Absent; Bill No. 343-$7 was accordingly read, approved by Mayor Filger and became Ord. No. 343-37. Young moved that Bill No. D-70-5 being bill providing for the appropiration of money out of the general fund of the City of Riverside, Missouri for the payment of certain indebtednessa s listed therein be placed on its first reading, seconded by Brenner, the roll was called and votes were as fellows: Brenner, Shelton, Swetnam and Young voted aye; Bailey and Layton absent; Bill No. D-7o-5 was accordingly read. rules be suspended Brenner moved that/Bill No. D-70-5 be placed on its sedonc reading and seconded by Swetnam, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Bailey and Layton absent; Brenner, Shelton, Swetnam and Young voted aye; Shelton moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D-70-5 be placed on its third reading and upon passage of same become Ord. No. D-70-5, seconded by Swetnam, the roll was called and votes were as follows; Brenner, Shelton, Swetnam and Young noted aye; Bailey and Layton absent; Bill No. D-70-5 was accordingly read, approved by Mayor Filger and be- came Ordinance No. ~-70-5. Mayor Filger advised there would be a special meeting with the Water Polutior iembers on Tuesday. Swetnam moved that we notify the KIP&L Co. to take out one half of the lights and if they cannot do that that they take out all the lights, seconded by Shelton, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Brenner, Shelton, Swetnam and Young vntP~ agP; Rrefila* an~tnn absent; Swetnam moved that we write a letter to Mr. Agnew with regard to his building permit having expired and that he has to come before the council to renew it, seconded by Young, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Brenner, Shelton, Swetnam, and Young voted aye; Bailey and Layton absent. Shelton moved that Foster remodeling bermit be approved, seconded by Brenner, the roll was called, and votes were as follows: Bailey absnet Layton absent; Brenner, Shelton Swetnam and Young voted aye;
