Shelton moved that the City requ©st that the Kansas City ~'ower and Light co~pany remove every other light on highway 71 highway, from function of 71 highway and 69 Iiighw~y, north to the north end oP the City L.i.nits, seoonded by~ Young, the roll was called and voteswere as fll~ows: Bailey,Srenner, Shelton, 3wetnam,aaxsd Young voted. aye; Layton absent. 7.'he council sug_ested ayI letter be written B~~oial Road District of *arkville, Missouri, thanking them for their letter of January 2:>, 1970, setting out the a location for the Roads in Riverside, for 1970, said amount being $7,~i6b.0 ~ and also setting cut amount dues the District from 19E~9, and the balance due tn.e City of Riverside, Missouri, also edd~Qc advising the Special Road District that the City lt~dni has to pass an ordix:ance for eny money spent on roads, prior to t'm work being dens and therefore any such work wou~id have to haves the approval of the Council, we would therefore, appreniate their aa~aaxir3xg getting approval for any work to b e d•>ne an the streets or roads fn Riverside prior to the work being done, so that it canoe legally paid for by the City.
