A regular meeting of the hoard of aldermen of the City of
Riverside, Missouri has held in the City Hall in Riverside, Mo. on
September 16, 196, at 8:00 p.m. and upon a roll call, aldermen
Bailey, Layton, Shelton, Swetnma and Young were present, Mayor
Filger callin,, said meeting to order.
Minutes of meeting of Sept. 2, 1y6, were readand accepted as read.
Mr. Panus represented Herbert Rushton who applied for liquor license
late in 1968 and wanted to open the place and obtain the license now.
Upon motion by Layton, seconded by Bailey, the roll was called and
Bailey, Layton, Shelton, Swetnam and Young voted aye; Brenner, absent.
A may from the State Highway Department spoke with regard to
installing; a certain portion of the sewers before the highway is
progressed much fubther, and a ,>roup of men -- landowners in the
area also expressed their opinions with regard to the paying for
the sewers in that particular zone.
Layton moved that Bill No. 343-29 being, bill forming ,,oint sewer
District B composed of Sewer District numbers 11, 13 and 15 and providing
for the preparation of plans, specifications and estimates of cost
by the acting City Engineer for the construction of a point sanitary
interceptor sewer in said districts, be placed on its first reading,
seconded by Bailey, the roll was alled and Bailey, Layton, Shelton,
Swetnam, and Younr_, voted aye; Brenner, absent, Bill No.343-29 was accordin~l;
Shelton mo ed that rules be suspended and Bill No. 343-2y be placed read
on its second readin seconded by Swetnam, the roll was called and
votes were as follows: Bailey- Layton, Shelton, Swetnam, and Young
voted aye; Brenner, absent, Bill No. 343-29 was accordin_ly read.
Young moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 343-29 be played on its
third reading and upon passa,_,e of same become Ord. No. 343-29, seconded by
Layton, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Bailey-Shelton-
Layton-Swetnam-Young voted aye; Brenner-absent. Bill No. 343-29 was accord in
ly read, approved by Mayor Fitter and became Ord. No. 343-29.
Laytcn mued that Bill No. 343-30 being bill dec~ring the necessity of
construction of sewers in Joint Sewer District Number B, seconded by
Shelton, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Bailey, Laytml,
Shelton, Swetnam and Young voted aye; Brenner-absent. Bill No. 343-30 was
accordingly read.
Shelton moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 343-30 be placed

Shelton moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 343-31 be placed on
its second reading, seconded by Bailey, the roll was called and votes

absent; Bill No. 343-31 was accordingly read.
Layton mveed that rules be suspended and Bill No. 343-31 be placed on
its third reading and upon passage of same become Ord. No. 343-31,
seconded by Shelton, the rollwas called and votes were as follows:

Bill No. 343-31 was accordingly read, approved by Mayor Filger and
became Ord. No. 343-31,

for bids for the construction of a sanitary interceptor sewer in Joint
sewer District Number B in the City of Riverside, Mo., be placed on
its first reading, seconded by Swetnam, the roll ~s called and votes

absent; Bill No. 343-32 was accordingly read.
Shelton moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 343-32 be placed on
its second reading, seconded by Swetnam, the roll was called and votes
were asofllows; Bailey-Layton-Shelton-Swetnam-Young- voted aye; Brenner-
absent, Bill No. 343-32 was accordingly read.
Layton moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 343-32 be placed on
its thrrd reading, and upon passage of same become Ord. No. 343-32,
seconded by Bailey, the roll was called and otes were as follows:
Bailey-tayton,Shelton-Swetnam-Young voted aye; Brenner-absnet, Bill N .
343-32 was accordingly read, approved by Mayor Filger and became Ord.

Bailey moved that Bill No. 343-33 being; bill authorizing the readvertising
for bids for the construction of a lateral sanitary sewer in district
No. 11, be plaed on its first reading, secnded by Shelton, the roll was
called and votes were as follows:Bailey,Layton,Shelton-Swetnam and'YoQn„
aye; Brenner-absent; Bill No. 343-33 was accordingly read.
Layton moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 343-33 be placed on
its second reading, seconded by Shelton, the roll was called and -otes
were as follows: Bailey,Layton,Shelton-Swetnam,Youn,~ voted aye; Brenner-
absent, Bill No. 343-33 was accordingly read.
Young moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 343-33 be placed on its
third readin, and upon passa_,e of same become Ordinance No. 343-33, seconded
by Layton, the roll was called and votes were as follows:Bailey ,Layton,

Shelton mo~:red that Bill No. D-6-16 being bill providing, for the appropriatic
of money out of the ;eneral fund of the City of Riverside for the payment
of certain indebtedness as listed therein be placed on its first readinj,
seconded by Swtman, the roll was called and votes were as follows:

Bill No. D-6~-16 was accordingly read.
