A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of City of Riverside,
Missouri washeld in the City Hall in Riverside, Missouri on May 6,1,6,,
~.t 8:00 p.m. and upon a Roll call, alsermen Bailey, Brenner, Layton,
Shelton, Swetnar~ x~~x~x were present, Young absent the first portion
of meeting, said meeting called to order by Mayor Filger.
Minutes of April 15, lab„ were read and accepted as read.
A hemming was had with regard to the rezoning of certain property
owned by Curtis Brenner on the East side of Highway 71 at prior called
Brenner Ridge School, after a discussion of same, it was recommended that
the property be rezoned and all council members were in accord.
Collector#s report formnnth of April 1a69, were read and accepted.
Treasurer's reports fIDn months of March and &pril, 1x69, were read
and accepted.
A report from the Zoning Board with regard to rezoning of certain
property owned by Scavuzmo, Meadows and Erhardt was read and the Council
agreed to have its hearing on said recommendation June 3, 196 „ at 7:30
p.m.
Mr. Peterson presented a petition from people in Indian Hills recommending
a stop sign or a hump put in the road at Navijo Road in Indian Hi71s to
slow down the people driving on the street, as it was quite dangerous
to the children at that location. After a discussion, Seneker stated he
had two stop signs and that he would have same installed.
Young present this portion of meeting.
It was recommended that Mr. Myers send a certified letter to Kalivas
advising him of the amount of his sewer usage bill and that if he does not
pay other action for collecting same will have to be taken,
Brenner moved that bill No. 343-18 being bill setting out District
No. 10, as a sewer district (being Plantation) as described in attached
exhibit be placed on its first reading, seconded by Shelton, the roll was
called and votes were as follows: Bailey-aye; Bremer-aye; ~heltonpaye;
Layton-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young-aye; Bill No. 343-18 was accordingly read.
Layton mo~.~ed that flules be suspended and Bill No. 343-18 be placed
on its second reading, seconded by Swetnam, the roll was called and votes
were as follows: Bailey-aye; Brenaer8aye; Shelton-aye; Layton-aye; Sw;tnam-
aye; Young-aye; Bill No. 343-18 was accord~,ly read.
Shelton moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 343-18 be placed on

Layton moved that Bill No. 343-1~ being bill settin out District
as a sewer district (being Renner Plaza N 1 and No. 5~ as described
attached exhibit be placed on its first reading, seconded by Brenner,
roll was called and votes were as follows: Bailey-aye; Brenner-a6e;

Bailey moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 343-1>, be placed on
its second reading, seconded by Layton, the roll was called and votes were
as follows: Bailey-aye' Brenner-aye; Layton-aye; Shelton-aye; Swetnam-aye;
Boung-aye; Bill No. 343-19 was accordingly read.
Brenner moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 343-19~ be placed on
its third reading and upon passage of same become Ord. No. 343-1„ seconded
by Layton, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Bailey-aye;
Brenner-ayes Layton-aye; Shelton-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young-aye; Bill No. 343-19
was accordingly read, approved by Mayor Filger and became Ord. No. 343-19.
Layton moved that Bill No. 343-2o being bill setting out Hewer District
No. 12, as described in attached exhibit, be placed on its first reading
(said district being Skyline Inn District); seconded by Bailey, the roll
was called and votes were as follows: Bailey-aye; Brenner-aye; Layton-aye;
Shelton-aye; Swetnam-aye; Youngaye; Bill No. 343-2o was accordingly read.
Shelton moed that rules be suspended and Bill No. 343-2o be placed on
its second reading, seconded by Brenner, the roll was called and votes were

Young-aye; Bill No. 343-2o was accordingly read.
Layton moved that rules be suspended and Bill No.343-2o be placed on
its third reading and upon passage of same become Ord. No.343-20, seconded
by Bailey, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Bailey-aye;
Brenner-aye; Layton-aye; shelton-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young-aye; Bill No. 343-20
was accordin;~ly read, approved by Mayer Filger and became Ord. No. 343-20.
Shelton moved that Bill No. 343-21 being bill approving the plans and
specifications of the sewer system for sewer district No. 10 (plantation)
be placed on its Pirst reading, seconded by Brenner, the roll was called
and votes were as follows: Baileypaye; Brenner-aye; Layton-aye; ~hetlon-aley
Swetnam-aye; Young-aye; Bill No. 343-21 was accordingly read.
Layton moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 343-21 be placed on
its second reading, seconded by Bailey, the roll was called and votes were
as fellows: Bailey-aye; Brenner-aye; Shelton-aye; Layton-aye; Swetnma-aye;
Young-aye; Bill No. 343-21 was accordingly read.
Layton moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 343-21 be placed on
its third reading adad upon passage ofsame become Ord. No.343-21, seconded
by Brenner, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Baileay-aye'
Brenner-aye; Layton-aye; Shelton-aye; Swetnarr~-aye; Young-aye; Bill No. }43-~2
was accordingly read, approved by Mayor Filger and became Ord. No. 343-~~.
Sheltongmoved ~ that Bill No. 343-22 being bill approving the ply and
specifications of the sewer system for Sewer District No. 11 (Renner P:i.aza
Nos. 1 and 5) be placed on its first reading, seconded by Brenner, the roll
was called and votes were as follows: Bailey-aye; Brenner-aye; Shelotn-ale;
Layton-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young-aye; Bill No. 343-22 was accordin;;ly read.
Layton moed that rules be suspended and Bill No. 343-22 be placed on
its second reading, seconded by Bailey, the roll was called and votes were

Shelton moved that dill No. 343-23, being bill providing for the
approval of the plans and specifications of the sewer system for Sewer
District No. 12 (Skyline Inn) be placed on its first reading, seconded by
Brenner, the Poll was called and votes were as follows: Bailey-aye;
Brenner-aye; Layton-aye; Shelton-aye; Swetnam-aye;nYoung-ale Bill No.

Layton moved that rules be suspended and Bill no. 343-23 be placed
on its third reading and upon passage of same become Ord. No. g43-23,
seconded by Brenner, the roll was called and votes were as follows:

Bill No. 343-23 was accordingly read, approved by Mayor Filger and became
Ord. No. 343-23.
The council was in accordance that Mr. Myers also send Hr. Bishop
a certified letter setting out the amount owed the City account usage of
sewer system.
Layton moved that we approve the liquor license of Mr. Miles at the
Fondoo, seconded by Brenner, the roll was called and votes were as
follows subject to tie following -- that if at any time the Fondoo
decided to change hands, or partnership members, or rnovea~ to a new location
or change title, that the license will be revolked permanently, ~~~~~~~~x

Mr. Bill Henderson advised that hev~ld like to make a bid to the
city for clearing the right of ways, mowing, removing brush, etc. and
it was decided that he should go over the right of ways with some of the
council members and see what he would come up with regarding cost of same.
Shelton moved that the City purchase an airconditioner for the
City Hall, seconded by Young, ( with the understanding that the aircondition-
er purchased would be guaranteed to cool the area required) the roll was
called and all voted in favor.
