March 18, 1969 A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of City of Riverside, .Missouri was held in the City Hall in Riverside, Missouri on March 18, 1969, a t 8:00 p.m. and upon a roll X7.1, aldermen Brenner, Layton, Shelton, Swetnam and Young were present, 2;ayor Filger absent and Bailey absent; Young ae+ting as Mayor. Minutes of Meeting of March 4, 1969, were read and a pproved as corrected. Treasurer+s report for month of Feburary, 1969, was read and accepted. Mr. Guy P'n~ of Leawood, Kansas inquired with regard to building a DeLux Mobil lea here in Ri~.erside anc3 wanted to know the thoughts of the City, and also as to whether it w as zoned f or this type of business. He w as a dvis .d that the area which was already zoned was that on the southern boundary of the City, and he stated he would think the matter over. Mr. Curtis Brenner and Nr. Baker of North Hills Bank brought up the matter of having a porti~•n of the area or. the East Side of Highway 71 where former location of Brenner School was to be rezoned for multiple dwellings, th~wese advised that this would have to go before the zoming Boa rd. Layton brought up the matter that he watt called regarding the children p3aying in the streets and that it was quite dangerous. The Police department w as requested to see if they could correct this situation. Brenrer moved that IBB~11 No. 333-19 being bill authorizing the General Election to be held in the City of Riverside, Missouri on April 1, 1969, andappoir.t fudges to work a t such election be placed on its first reading, seconded by Layton, the roll wasc el led and votes were as follows: Bailey-abs=r.t; Brenner-aye; Layton-aye; Shelton-aye; Swetnam-qye; Young-aye; Bill ATC. 333-19 was accordingly r cad. Layton moved that rulesbe suspended and Bill'~~o. 333-19 be placed on its second reading, seconded by Swefinam, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Bailey-absent; Brenner-aye; Shelton-as-e; Laytoneaye; Swetnam-aye; Young-a,ye; B~.11 No. 333-19 w as accordingly read. Swetnam moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 333-19 be placed or.its third reading and upon passa?e of same become Ord. No. 3 33-19, seconded by Si~elton, the rollw as called and votes were as fol~.ows: Bai"ley-absent; Brenner-aye; Layton-aye; Sheltor, aye; Swetnam-aye; YoungO aye; Bill No. 333-19 was accordingly read, approved by Nayor (acting) Young and became Ord. No. 333-19. Brenner moved that Bill No. D-69-b ~.;eingb ill providing for the a-:;propriati^n of money out of the general fund of the City of Riverside, Missouri for tye payment of certain indebtedness as listedtherein be placed on its first reading, s ecotvlad by Shelton, the roll was c ailed riinutes of Reg.
