February 18, 1969
A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of City of Riverside,
Missouri was held in the City Hall in Riverside, Missouri on February 18,
.96~, at 8:00 p.m. and upon a roll call, aldermen Bailey, Brenner,
Layton, Shelton, Swetnam and Young were present, Mayor Filger calling said
meeting to order.
Minutes of February 4, 1969, were read and accepted.
Jim Burricheter reported on the condition of the roads in the bottoms
and asked that something be done about it. The Council were to look the
road situation over and then proceed accordingly.
Jess Anderson inquired with regard to when sewers would come by
his property, he did not live in the City of Riverside, but at 52nd
Northwood Road (where his property is located) he was advised to see
the Kansas City office as that was in their jurisdiction.
Young spoke with regard to going to Jefferson City, Missouri to see
of the State would not keep up the r~air of Highway 71, as this would
cost the City considerable to keep this street in good repair. Young also
reported on the amount Nor~ansas City Stye Bank Was paying on savings
and it was 6.32.`
The matter ofg to Jefferson City should be done as soon as possible.
Mr. Rapp spoke with regard to the Parkville Voluntary Fire Department.
and wanted to know if Riverside k;ould give them answer shortly.

A recess was had and the meeting reconveniend and thejpresided over
the remainder of the meeting - all council members present remaining of
meeting.
Shelton moved that Bill Nc. 34-A-9 being bill providing for the rezoning
of certaLn property requested by Scavazzo be placed on its first reading, seconde
by Bailey, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Bailey-aye;
Brenner-aye; Layton-aye; Shelton0aye; Swetnam-aye; Young-aye; Bill No. 34-A-9
was accordingly read.
Layton moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 34-A-9 be placed on
its second reading, seconded by Bailey, the roll was called and votes were as
follows: Bailey-aye; Brenner-aye; Layton-aye; Shelton-aye; Swetnam-aye;
Young-aye; Bill No. 34-A-g wa.s accordingly read.
Brenner moved that rules be suspneded and Bill No. 34-A-9 be placed on
its third reading and upon passe of same become Ord. No. 34-A-9, seconded
by Layton, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Bailey-aye;
renner-aye; Layton-aye; Shelton-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young-aye; Bill No. 34-A-9
was accordingly read, approved by Mayor Filger and became Ord. No. 34-A-9
Shelton maed that B ill No. 34-A-10 being bill providing for the rezoning
of cebtain property requested by Mr. Baker be placed on its first reading,
seconded by Brenner, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Bailey-aye;
Brenner-aye; Layton-aye; Shelton-aye; Swetn~nm-aye; Young-aye; Bill No. 34-A-i0

was accordingly read.
Layton moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 34-A-10 be placed on
its second reading, seconded by Bailey, the roll was called and votes were
as follows: Bailey-aye; Brenner-aye; Layton-aye; Shelton-aye; Swetnam-aye;
Young-aye; Bill No. 34-A-10 was accordingly read.
Brenner moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 34-A-10 be placed
on its third reading and upon passage of same become Ord. No. 34-A-10,
seconded by Layton, the roll was called and votes were as follows:
Bailey-aye; Brenner-aye; Layton-aye; Shelton-aye; Sw~nam-aye; Young-aye;
Bill No. 34-A-10 was accordingly read, approved by Mayor Filger and became
Ord. No. 34-A-10.
Layton moved blab Bill No. D-69-4 being Bill providing for the
approproation of money out of the General Fund of the Ci1~ of Riverside,
for the payment of certain indebtedness as listed therein be placed
on its first reading, seconded by Brenner, the roll was called and votes
were as follows: Bailey-aye; Brenner-age; Layton-aye; Shelton-aye; Swetnam-aye;
Young-aye; Bill No. D-69-4 was accordingly read.

Layton moved that rules be sspended and Bill No. D-69-4 be placed on
its third reading and upon passe of same become Ord. No. D-69-4, seconded
by Brenner, the floll was called and votes were as follows:
Bailey-aye'- Brenner-aye; Layton-aye; Shelton-aye; Swetnam-aye;
Young-aye; Bill No. D-69-4 was accordingly read, approved by Mayor Filger
and became Ord. No. ~-69-4,
