January 7,1969
A regular me~tingof the Board of aldermen of City of Riverside,
Missouri was held in the city hall in Riverside, Missouri on January 7,
1969, at 8:00 p.m. and upon a roll call, aldermen Bailey, Brenner,
Shelton, Swetnam and Youne were present, Layton absent, and Mayor Filger
calling said meeting to order.
Minutes of regular meeting of December 17, 1968, were read and
accepted as read. Treasurers report for month of November, 1968, was
read and accepted.
The Zoning Board's recommendation of rezoning certain property
for multiple dwellings requested by Mr. Baker, was read, and the Board
recommended the rezoning. The Council then agreed to have its hearing
on the matter at the first meeting in February, at 7:30 p.m.
Swetnam moved that the City approve the plans for McGuire's
addition to a garage, B~ogin's addition to his warehouse and Brenner's(Warren)
for the building in lieu of the one which burned, seconded by Shelton,
the roll was called and the motion unanimously passed.
Shelton moved that Bill No. 343-14 being bill establishing a
sewer district to be known as sewer district Number nine ~ the Qty of
Riverside and prescribing the boundaries thereof, seconded by Bailey, the
roll was called and votes were as follows: Bailey-aye; Brenner aye;
Layton-absent; Shelton-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young-aye; Bill No. 343-14 was
accordingly read, rules be suspended and
- Brenner moved thatjBill No. 343-14 be placed on its second reading,
seconded by Shelton, the roll was called and votes were as follows:
Bailey-a~; Brenner-aye; Layton-absent; Shelton-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young-aye;
Bill No. 343-14 was accordingly read. _
Shelton moved that rules be suspended and Bill N 343-14 be placed on it
third reading and upon passage of same become Ord. Nod 343-14, seconded
by Bailey, the roll was called and votds were as follow: Bailey-ale;
Brenner-aye; Shelton-aye; Laytoh-absent; Swetnam-aye; Young-aye; Bill No.
343-14 was accordingly read, approved by Mayor Filger afid became Ord. No.
343-14.
Shelton moved that Bill No. D-6g-1 being bill providin~~ for the appropria
tion of money out of the general fund df the City of Riverside, Missouri
for the payment of certain indebtedness as listed therein be placed on its
first reading, seconded by Bailey, the roll was called and votes were as
follows:Bailey-aye;Brenner-qye; Layton-absent;Sheltonpaye;Swetnam-aye;Young-aye
Bill No. D-69-1 was accordingly read.
Brenner moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D-69-1 be placed on
its second reading, seconded by Shelton, the roll was called and votes were
as follows:Bailey-aye;Brenner-aye;Shelton-aye; Layt n-absent;Swetnam-aye;
Young-aye; Bill No. D-69-1 was accordingly read.
Shelton moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D-69-1 be placed'
on its third reading and upon passage of same become Ord. No. D-69-1, seconded
by Bailey, the roll was called and votes were as follows:Bailey-aye;Brenner-ay
Layton-absent;Shelton-aye;Swetnam-aye;Yougg-aye; Bill No. D-69-1 was according
ly read, approved by Mayor Filger and became Ord. No. D-6g-1.
No further business, meeding adjourned.
