T~Iinutes of October 1, 1964 ti,, ere read and accepted as rsad. Treasurerts report for September, 1968, was read and accepted. 1`Ir. Panus presented a building application and also an anplicati~n to serve beer in the buildings to be built, and stated if the beer license c~ere not available, then the building was not warted, howe~,er he was advised the council could not approve the beer license on the same eight pre:=anted that they would ha-,~e to wait until the next meeting. '3owever, the building permit was then presented and it was si:ated that theywould like to h^e the building. They wanted to have the councils opinion reF_•ard"ng the license to I;e approved for the s~ le of beer, fx a survey of the council was may e and of the members present, Shelton-~~t no objection; Young-no objection; Brenner- no objection; Swetnam-no objection to building but thought Riverside, had en~ogh liquor license. John Costello inquired whether he needed license for his business, Iv'_id Am. Dealerts Gasoline Corp. He was a trade accociation o r lobyt.st for the service stations, and stated he was a non profit orgainzation, hrn,~ever, he w as a dvised that he could not tie e.~tempt f nom the occupation 13.cense, no other places of ibis natture ~-aere exe}npt. Swetnam moved that the council approve Zrdarren BrennerT s isui~.ding permit and Rose Deffer~s permit for business license--Country piitchen restaur?nt.- seconded by Brenner, the roll was called and votes were as follow Bailey-absent; BrenneY-aye; Layton-absent; Shelton-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young-a~re~ ~#~ Enl"ineer T-Iyers spoke to the council with regard to the sewers and the districts and a discussion was had with re,rard to same. It was decided to w rite a letter to the State„Highw y Commission and ask for another count of traffic on 50th Street Northwest, formerly Pio4rwo-,d street, because of additional 'anuses and a tremendous amount of traffic. Swetnam moved that Bill No. D-6~-20 b Bing bill providing fo r t he appropriati-,n of money out of the genera 1 fund of the City of Riverside, Missouri, for the pa y~ent of certain indebtedness as listed therein be placed or. its first reading, seconded b Slton, the roll was c alled and votes were as follows: Bailey-absentenner-aye; Shelton-aye; Swetnam-aye; Yount-aye; Bill IvTo.
