A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of City of Riveraide~
Missouri was held in the City hall in Riverside, on October 1 1968,
at 8:00 p.m. and upon a roll call, Aldermen Bailey, Brenners ~ayton,
Shelton and Swetnam 4nd Young were present, Mayor Filger Absent;
and Young being Acting Mayors celled the meeting to order.
Minutes of September 17, 1968 w are read and accepted, Colleotor~s
report for month of September, 196, was read and accepted.
Mrs. Keating again inquired with regard to a better and wider
road to her property and she was advised it would have to be worked
out with the other property owners in the imrediate area who have
proerty along the road.
A group of people were present from Indian Hills regarding the
Indian Hills North lst Platt, and objected to the traffic over their
streets, they w ere advised the Council approved the acceptance of
the Platt only and did not authorize any building, however the person
developing the property promised that he would build a temporarily road
and move all his eouipment over that road while the building and excavating
was in operation.
Layton moved that the City Purchase a police car for a difference
of $161}5--1969 Dodgefrom Swift Dodge, that also the police department
purchase 13 speed limit signs plus posts and that we purchase two
snow tires for the police ear at the cost of X70.00 and that
Robert Campbell @Dl~ John Giese be hired as reserve police officers
John Giese being transferred -- the pay to be X1.00 per hours seconded

Layton moved that Oa~t#Rx~ance No. 15-3 being o=rd#m~n¢ge designating
that the City of Riverside Council shall meet every first and third 'Euesdays
of each month at 8:00 p.m. at the City Hall in Riverside, Missouri --
located on Highdrive, that that skid bill be placed on its first reading,
seconded by Brenner, the roll was called and votes were as follows
Bailey-aye; Brenner-aye; Layton-aye; Swetnma-eye; Shelton-eye; Young-ays;
Biil No. ~ -3 was accordingly read.
Layton moved that rules be suspended and Bill T~.o. 15-3 be placed on
its second reading, seconded by Brenner the roll was called and notes were
ea follows: Bailey-sye; Brenner-aye; ~ayton0eye; Sheltpn-eye; Swetnan-aye;
Young-aye; Bill No. 15-3 was a ccordingly read.
Layton moved that rules be suspended and Bi11 No. 15-3 be placed on
its third reading and upon passage of same b ecome Ord. No. 15-3, seconded
by Brenner-e~the roll was called and votes were as follows Bailey-e,ye;
Brenner-age; Shelton.-aye; Peyton-eye; Swetna;;-eye; Young-eye; Bill No. 15-;
was a ccordingly read, approved by acting Nis?or Young and became Ord. No.15-;
Shelton moved that Bill No.D-68-19 being billproviding for the appropriatic
of money out of the general fund of the City of Riverside, Mo. for the
payment of certain indebtedness ~a listed therein be placed on its first
readin g, seconded by Brenner, the roll was called and votes were as follows

Swe•nam moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D-68-19 be placed
on its second reading, seconded by Bremer, the roll was called and notes
were as Follows: Bailey-sye; Brenner-aye; Layton-eye; Shelton-aye;
Swet•am-aye; Young-aye; Bill No. D-68-19 was accordingly read.
Bailey moved that irides be suspended and Bi11No. D-68-19 be placed
on its th ird reading and upon passage of sameb ecome Ord. No. D-bb3.9,
seconded by Shelton, the roll was called and votes were as follows:

Bailey moved that meeting ad~ounn, no further business, meeting
adjourned.
