HomeMy WebLinkAbout1968-05-21Minutes of hegular meeting Of Board of Aldermen City of Riverside, I`iissouri May 21, 1°b8 A regular meeting of the board of Aldermen of City of Riverside, Missouri was held in the City Hall in Riverside, Missouri on May 21,1968 and upon a roll call Aldermen B~~ley - Layton, Shelton, Swetnam and Young were present, r_ayor ~`ilger absent and Young calling said meeting to order. ~aa~axaax~axs~aHa~xxR~aa Brenner absent. , Shelton moved that s'nce the Mayor was absent and one alderman that they disperse with reading of the tr,inutes and all other ~'reasurer and Collectors reports, seconded by Layton, the roll was alled and votes were as follows: Bailey,a~*e; Brenner-absent; Layton-aye; Shelton-aye; Swetnam-aye; and Young-aye: Brenner present this portion of meeting. g.. P. Niles, 4501 71 I"iighway requested permission to and presented aprlication for opening a1~ restaurant and co~teil lounge at the said address and he was advised t^at the matter could not be passed on at this meeting, and he had to wait until the ne:~t general council meeting. Mr. Niles stated he would be willing to black top the area in °ront of his business buiiding to its junct~c7H with the highway. He alsostated h~ had ample parkir.^ in the back. Swetnam moved that a resolution be passed to repair the police station ~~agon, seconded by Layton, the roll was c alled and votes were as f-llows: Bailey,-a,ye; Brenner-aye; Layton-aye; Shelton-eye; Swetnam-aye; and Young-ayel Seneker requested 1,,:00 rounds of target ammunition,approxiaaate a~unt.aould be ~20.J0, upon moti:~n by Layton and Seconded by Swetnam, approving the p rc~asing of same, the roll was called and votes were ss follows: Bailey-aye; Brenner-aye; La~Tton-aye; Shelton-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young-ayes' Swetnam moved that Bill No.D-68-10 tieing bill providing for the appropria':ion of money out of the general fund of the C''ty of Riverside, I`"~issouri for the payment of certain indebtedness as listed therein be placei on its first readir.,-, sedonded by Shelton., the roll was c a~. led and votes were as follovrs: Bailey-aye; Brenner-aye; Layton-aye; Sneltor-aye; Swetnarr-a,ye; noun;-aye; Bill Pao. D-~d-10 was accordingly read. Bhelton moved that rules besuspended and Bill Pio. D-6t1-10 be placed on its second reading and seconded by Bailey, the roll was calla d and votes were as follows: Bailey-aye; Brenner-aye; Bayton-eye; Sheltonpaye; Swetnam-s~Te; Young-aye; Bill Plo. D-6`'-10 was accordingly read. L~vton moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D-b?i-10 be placed on its third reading and upon passage of same b ecome Ord.
