Riverside, Missouri
N.ay 7, 1968
A regular meeting oft he Boa rd of Aldermen of City of
Riverside, Missouri was held in the City '.fall 'n Riverside, Missoxri
on i~ay 7, 1968, at 5:00 plm. and upon a roll call, Aldermen Bailey,
Layton Shelton, Swetnam, and Young were present, Brenner absent, and
,':ayor ~''ilger calling said m=sting to order.
Minutes of regular meeting of tipril 16, 19b8,
was read and accepted. Treasurer's reports for month of Februar}~
and Mare[, 1965, were read and accepted.
The mar.a~er of Green Terrace Trailer Court, I•r. Edwards,
inquired with regard to the road being repaired and wanted to know
what the result of the of the meeting was. Mr. Myers advised that
the runoff of the area abo-:e the highway 71 and 45, at the pres nt
time, wa;; not quite adequate and that the best way would be to
take the rur.r~off directly across highway 71 if the State wo:ald so do,
and Nor. F'ilger advised he would contact the highw= y department and
see if this c®uld be done.

Layton moved that the Oity advertise for more bids/on lion.

called and votes were as follows: Brenner-absent; Bailey-aye; Layton-aye;

A report of the Zoning Board was rAad, with regard to
rezoning certain property within the City of Riverside,
and the Council decided that it would have their meetin-x on this
same matter N'ay 2!}, 19btS, if the article could be gotten in the
paver this week.
Mr. %.~yton moved that the city obt-yin an ordinance whereby
it would be illegal for people to shoot fireworks after 10: u0 p.m.
in the residential district and before n:u0 a.m. ir. the same district
with the excepti ~n of the 3rd, !}th and 5th, and i~ir. Dorsey t o draw
up ordinance on same seconded bh Shelton, the roll was called and

Shelton moved that Bill I\o.55-5 being bill prohibiting
the f'silure to apps^r in municipal court upon the making of a written
promise or receiving a su r.:ons to so do or failing to deposit bail as
required, seconded by Swetnam, the roll was called and votes were as
follows: Brenner-absent; Bailey,-aye; Layton-aye; Shelt:r.-aye;
Swetnam-aye; Youn-sye; Bill 1\0. 55-5 was accordingly read.
