February 20, 1968
A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of City of Riverside,
Missnri was held in the City Hall in Riverside, Missouri at 8:00 p.m.
on February 20, 1868. Upon a roll car, aldermen Klamm, Layton,
Shelton, Swetnam and Young were present, Clark absent and Mayor Filger
calling said meeting to order.
Minutes of regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of February 6,
1968 were read and accepted.
Mr. Koehler inquired whether the City of Riverside would
approve his plans for an addition - Indian Hills Annex, and he was
advised that he should have the necessary papers prepared and if they
were in order the City probably would improve the street for the
addition also.
John West of Structo Industrial Co. presented plans for building
and business license for his business of chain fence and fabricating
of gates and other pertinent m3Cerial in the line of fencing.
Bill Wilson spoke with regard QsB the petition filed against
the property owners in Seven Oaks addition regarding unpaid bills
for the construction of the street in said addition. Young proposed
that the City of Riverside and its attorney represent the people in
this matter so that the property owners will not be out of any money
for the attorney's fees or other expense with regard to this suit.
However, it was suggested that the City and its attorney have a meeting
with all of the property owners and explain just what the City would
do.
Klamm excused the remainder of meeting.
Shelton moved that the city approve David B~enner's plans
for multiple dwellings and also approve John West's application for
business building, seconded by Layton, the roll was called and votes
were as follows: Clark-absnet; Klamm-absent; Layton-aye; Shelton-aye;
Swetnam-aye; Young-aye;
Layton moved that bill No. D-68-4 being bill providfig for tpe
appropriation of money out of the general fund of the City of Riverside,
Missouri for the payment of certain indebtedness as listed therein be
placed on its first reading, seconded by Swetnam, the roll was called
and votes were as follows: Clark-absent; Klamm-absnet; Layton-aye;
Swetnam-aye; Shelton-aye; Young-ay;e; Bill No. D-68-4 tdas accordingly
read .
St~tnam moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D-68-4 be placed
on its second reading, seconded by Layton, the roll was called and votes
were as follows: Clark-absent; Klamm-absent; Layton-aye; Shelton-aye;
Swetnam-aye; Young-aye; Bill No. D-68-4 was accordingly read.
Layton moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D-68-4 be placed
on its third reading and upon passage of same become Ord. No. D-68-4,
seconded by Swetnam, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Clark-
