HomeMy WebLinkAbout1967-08-15Minutes of Regular Meeting of Board of Aldermen of City o f Riverside, Mis.sourt August 15, 1967 A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside, Rissouri was held in the City ~~all in Riverside, Missouri on August 15, 1967, at 7:30 ~.N:. and upon a rall call, aldermen Eskridge, Layton, Shelton, and Young were present, Clark and Swetnam, absent and M<;~~or Filger calling said meetint to order. Layton moved that we accept the business license application for a barber shop presented t;y Bill 'arson, sec._:nded by Eskridge, the roll was called and votes were as follows: C]2 rk-absent; Eskridge-aye; 7ayton-aye; Shelton-aye; Swetnam-absent; Young-aye; Layton moved that Dave Brooks and Jerry Allen be accepted as reserve officers, seconded by Shelton, the roll was celled and votes were as follovzs: Clark-absent; Eskridge-aye; Layton-ays; Shelton-sye; Swetnam-absent; and Young-aye; Layton m ved that w e a ccept Bi'_1 ~~edgecock+ s applicati n for a temporary building on the same basis as his other building, that this is only on a temporary b asis, seconded qty shelton, the roll wqs called and votes were as follows: Clark-absent~+ Eskride-ays; Layton-aye; Shelton-sye; Swetnam-absent; and Young-aye; Yong moved that Bil1No. D-67-15 being billproviding for the appropria- tion of money out of the general fund of the city o f Riverside, Missouri for the payment of certa'n indebt:;dness as listed therein nbe placed on its first reading, seconded by Layton, the roll was called and votes were as follo~:~s: Clark-absent; Eskridge-aye; Layton-aye; Shelton-aye; Swetnam-absentt; Young-aye; and Bil1No. D-67-15 was accordingly r=.ad. Layton moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D-67-15 be placed on its second reading, seconded by Shelton, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Clark-absd7tt, Eskridge-eye; Layton-aye; Shelton-aye;Swetnam-arser. Young-aye; Bill No. D-67-15 was accordingly read. Layton moved that riles be suspended and Bill No. D-67-]_5 be placed on its third reading and upon passage of same, become Ord. No. D-67-15, seconded by Eskridge, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Clark-e~sent; Eskridge-aye; Layton-aye; Shelton-aye; Swetnam-absent; Young-sye; and Bill No. D-67,-,15 was accordingly read, approved by r~~ayor Filger and became Ordinance o.
