A regular meeting of the Board ofAldermen of City of Riverside, Missouri
was held in the City Hall on August 1, 1967 at 7:30 P•m• and upon a roll call
aldermen Layton, Shelton, Swetnam, and Youhg were pres~~nt, Clark and Eskridge
absent; and Mayor Filger Calling said meeting to order.
Minutes of meeting of July 5s 1967 and July la, 1967, were read and
acc pted.
Mr. Herzog presented plans for remodeling his business building
and it was requested that he put a brick front on the bu~id~n$, drith which
Mr. Herzog was in agreement with.
Mrs. Cox again inquired with regard to the City spray.ng for mosquitoes
and insects and Mayor Filger requested Layton to call Charles about this
mat er and to see if the County Health Department would use their equipment
for this and see what the cost would be.
Mrs. Koska inquired about their being able to build a fireworks warehouse
on he south side of highway 69, and she was advised that this was not zoned
for warehouses and it would have to be rezoned and she would have to go
th ugh the regular channels for rezoning property.

Bids were opened for the repair of roads in Riverside, as set out
in the specifications and the bids were as follows; however it iat edC3ttOOhes

Letter was received from Llano Engines ring Co. with reugest that ishey be
yen permission to give bids on the work of the roads in'Riverside and
pair them at ell times.
Young moved that w eaccept booths bid tiaith the Exception of No. 4 and
~t this be deleted from the bid and that we negotiaae for the cleaning
the ditches and sealing of the road at a later time, seconded by Swetnam,

It was suggested that a letter be written to a 11 of the above bidders
a d thank them for bidding and appreciate their time and efforts and that
w will be able to use them in the future.
It was also s uggested to write Lorsey with r egard to the culvert on
J nee Property and see what can be done.
Swetnam moved that bill No. D-67-11} being bill providing for the
a propiration of money out of the general fund of the City of Riverside,

Swetnam moved that rules be suspneded and Dill No. D-67-14 be placed
on its second reading, seconcde by Layton, the roll was called and votes
were as follows:. Clark-aye; Eskridge-dg~t Shelton-aye; Layton-aye;
Swe t2~am-aye; and Bil1No. D-67-1~ was a ccordingly read.
Swetnam moved that rules be s uspneded and bill No. D-67-1l~. be placed
on its third reading and upon passage of same become ard. No. D-67-].L~,
seconded by Layton, the roll was called and votes wets ss follows:
