HomeMy WebLinkAbout1967-04-04Minutes oP Regular Meet~rng City ®f Riversid®, Riversid®, Missouri Board of Aldermen A regular meeting ®f the Board of Aldermen of the City of River- sid®, Missouri i~tas held in the City Hall in Riversid®, on April !}, 1967 and upon a roll call, aldermen Eskridge, Layton, Swetnam and Y®ung were present, Breenor and Clark, abs®nt and May®r Filger calling th® said meeting to order at 7:~ 0 p.m. Minutes of regular meeting~of YZareh 21, 1967 were read and accepted as read. Collectorts report for month of March, 1967 was read and excepted. Clay-Platte Baseball League representatives again inquired with regard to the City repairing the baseball diamond in the back of the Cityts Pro arty, and upon motion by La~rton that the 6ity expend the sum up to 659.00 for -the installation of a fence and grading, that this work be done under aupe3wision, _=~~+~a~ax~~sitma.'~*!~T*t~s:~44x.x~x ~a}~'~xa~Y*'~'~=lx~MxaaxY~o}}~~* that this amount also covered sand and gravel w hick w as needed and that this was done with the under- sta nding that the members of the Bas®b all League would put grass s©d on the hill which was to be ~rsded, and w high they agreeed t® d®, the roll was called and votes werE as follows: Brenner-absent; Clark-absent; Eskridge-aye; Layton-aye; Swetnam-ay®; Young-ey®; Swetnsar moved that James T. Batsell¢~e r®m©deling permit be approved, seconded by Y®u~ag, the r®11 was call®d and votes were as full®ws: - Brenner-absent; Clark-absent; Eskridge-aye; Layton-aye; Swetnam-eve; Youngpa ye ; Layton moved that B3.11 No. 333-16 being bill canvassing the returns ®f t h® general election of the City of Riverside, Missouri held April !}, 1966, seconded by Y®ung, the roll was called and votes were as f®llews: Brenner-absent; Clark-absent; Edakridge-eye; LayO:on-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young-eye; Bill No.3 33-16 was a ceordingly read. Young moved that rules be susepend®d and Bill N®. 333-16 b® placed on its second reading,seeonded by Layton, the roll was c alled and votes were as f ollews: Brenner-absent; Clark-absent; Eskridge-aye; Layton-ay®; Swetnam-ay®; Young-eye/ Bill No. 333-16 was accordingly read. Sayton moved that rulest;e suspended and Bill N®.333-16 be placed on its third reading and upon passage of same become Oral. No. 3 33-16, seconded by Young, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Brann®r-absent; Clark-absent; Eskrdige-ay®; Layton-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young-aye; Bill: No. x33-16 was accordingly read, approved by Mayor Filger and became Ordl No. 333-16. ~- Y®ung moved that Bill No. D-67-7 being bill providing for the appropriation of money out of the general fund of the City oP Riverside Missouri for the payment of certain indebtedness as listed therein be placed on its first reading, seconded by Swetnam, the roll was called and votes were as f®llows: Brenner-absent; Clark-absent; Eskridge-aye; Layton-aye; Swettnam-eye; Youngpaye; Bill No. D-67-7 was accordingly read. Swetnam moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D-67-7 be placed on its second reading, seconded by Bay tan, the roll was c alled and votes were as follows Brenner-absent; Clark-a~re'nt; Eskridge-ay®; Layt®n-aye Swetnam-aye; Young-aye; Bill N®.
