of Riverside, Missouri
A regular meeting of the Board mf Aldermen of amity o8 Riverside, Mo.
~'•was held in the City Hall in Riverside, on February 7, 167 at 7:30 p.m.
and upon a roll call, adlermen Brenner, Clark, Eskridge, Layton Swetnam
and Young were present, Mayor Filger absent and Young Acting as i°jayor
Minutes of Reg_~lar meeting of Jan. 17, 1967 were read and accepted.
Dale Ricker pr canted plans for a two car wash building and business
license for seem and these ware approved by the council.
Mr. Hohn requested that the City accept the street in the apartment
addition on Larson Roads and Brenner moved that the street be approved
sug~ect to final approval by the City Engineer and City Attorney which
would include inspection of the workmanship and the guarantee for the
street in accordance with City Ordinance, 8larked seconded the motion and
all voted in favor.
Mr. Surriehter brought the names of several streets in Riverside
which should be changed as there were several of the same name north of
the river, the streetsw ere:
Crestview Drive to Strathbury Avenue
Norwood Ro^d to 50th Street
Paradise Valley Road to North Helena
South Valley to Hillside
A motion by $~ark that these changes be made and seconded by Eskridge
the roll was called and a~~b voted in favor.
Mr. Edmnns of Owens Plsstice inquired whether the city could build sewers
and pave streets to the property the anticipated to build a large
manufacturing concern, he was advised that thecCity possibly could do this,
however eachprope rty owner benefiting from this would have to pay their
portion.
Dr. Yennie presented his business license a plication and upon motion
by Layton and seconded by Swetnam that same be approved, the roll was
called aid all voted in favor.

The representative of the K. C. °ower & Light Company talked with
councilregarding the lights toba installed in Riverside, and it was
Councils desire that all membea^s should meet and see exactly where
lights were needed and then they could be more fully infolemed where
lights could be needed .
Brenner moved that Bill No. D-67-3 being bill providing for appropriation
of money out of the general fund of the City of Riverside, for certain
indebtedness ~s listed therein Be placed on its first reading, seconded
by Clark, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Brenner-aye;
Clark-aye; Eskridge-aye; Swetnam-aye; Layton-aye; Young acting Mayor
Bill No. D-67-3 was accordingly read.
Brenner moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D-67-3 be plead
on its second reading, seconded by Eskridge, the roll was called and votes
were as follows: Brenner9aye; Eskridge-aye; Clark-aye; Layton-aye;
Swetnam-aye; and Young Acting Mayor.
Brenner moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D-67-3 be plead
on its third reading and upon passage of same become Ord. No. D-67-3,
seconded by Layton, the roll was called and votes were as follows:
Brenner-aye; Clark-ale; Eskridge-aye; Layton-aye; Swetnam-aye; Youn Acting
Acting Mayor, Bill No. D-67-~ was accordingly read, approved by Mayor
Young and became Ord. No. D-67-3.
Mr. Edmonds inquired with regard to his matter of haveing the road fixed to his
__ railers and what chances he would have of adding new trailers. With regard
to the road, it was decided that permanent markers should be put in where
the surveyor had set his markers and that the weather was too cold to
do much to the road. /l
