A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of City of
Riverside, ~~issouri was held ~.n theCity Hall in Rive~'side, Pfissouri
on December 6, 1966, at 3:00 p.m. and upon a roll call, alderrnen
Brenner, Clark, '%:skrid~e, Swetnam (absent portion of meeting wl..ile
minutes were r ad) Young were pres:nt Layton, absent, and Y<yor
Filer calling said meetin to order.
i.4r. 'decker w~ s pres~:nt and stared he wanted to haT~e
dances for the teen a;~,ers at the old Downs Building, stated that he
talked to the I~atror and the ho7_ice Department and he had already i~ad
a couple of d antes. The ?olice department sta+ed t~~y had advised
h_m pointers on how to keep order and run a properly respected
nl~ce. After a discussion was had, Stretnam moved that Mr. Hecker
be given temporary license or permit until the fires of 1967 and at
that tir.:e the council will review the si_tu<tion before the license
is to be renewed, seconded by ~~renner, the roll was ca,lled~yand
votes were as follows, t~renner-aye; Clark-aye; E~kridr-e-a
Swetnam-aye; Layton,absent; and Young-aye; under the responsibility
of the Police Depar°tment.
Young moved that the City apptptethe building application
of Symons Mfg. Co., subject to and their getting an approval of
the sewage from the Health department and that their storage yard
be screened in a manner sati:factory to the City's suggFStions and
approval; and that the building application for remodeling house
o^ Gerald J. Barrett be approved and that the remodeling of
business building of E. iI. Young be approved, seconded by
Br nr~er, the ro7.1 was c tilled and motion unanimously passed.
TIC. N?yens talked with regard the instlla~~ion of the sewers
in Riverside and presented drawings of the d?'_fferent districts
hot-rever itw as decided to put in all the area t~rhich would
use the sewer in ^~ne district, <<^.nd the cost 1.,ro_.7_d be prorated
a-ccord ingl~r.
Seneker presented costs for a new Dodge automobile for
tre :~-"lice department, he stated t~rith our trade ino,e~narakes
new Dodge, with Air Oonditionin^;, tinted glass, p ~
potirer s taering;, specs-al tir's, and other items a seer list dated
12_6_66, it wo~.zld cost Riverside T1,860167e upon motion by Brenner,
seconded by Clark, that the City authorize the pidrehase of such
automobile, the roll west tilled and unanimously passed.
