A regular meeting: of the Board of Aldermen of City of Riverside,
T_~Tissouri was held in the City of Riverside, Pissouri on November 1!}, i966,
in the CitviTall in Riverside at 8:00 p.m. and upon a roll call, aldermen
Brenner, Clark, Eskridge, Swethan and Young were present, Layton, absent
and Mayor Filger calling said meeting to order.
P!inutes of meeting of P"eating of November 1, 1966, were r<:ad and
uppn motion by Young and seconded by Brenner that al lreference to the
Junk Y~erd in the bottoms be striken from the minutes as this information
was just hearsay, all voted in favor, the minutes were then accepted as
read.
Minutes of Special meeting of November L}, 1966 were read and accepted
as read.
The manac~,er of Green's Trailer Park gain requested permission to
put in more s}neces ~Sr his trailers and Attorney Dorsey sated that any
new area that is not occupied by trailers will h..^ve to be re zoned if
it is requested that trailers be installed in the new area. N?r. Dorsey
also stated that it makes no difference if the trailer park owners pay
for more than the spaces which they have trailers on this does n,t give
them permission to have trailers on the area where they have not
previously occupied with trailer. It wasd ecided that application be
made to the Boning board of r rezoning of the property.
Brenner moved that we accept the application of Nelson Gardens for
new business bufldina and that we al$o accept teie application of
Skyline D~~x~~x Luncheon ply-re for remodeling, subject to thi~r securing
authority from the :Iealth Department, seconded by Clark, the roll was
called and all voted in favor.
The Volunteer Fire Department again spoke with regard to its
department, it would like to borrow money from Riverside, T~issouri for
the purchase of a new Fire Truck, it would b along to the Community mire
Department and would be s t~.ti.ned in Riverside, however, run by the
Community Fire Department Volunteers and the money would be paid b ack
from the donations recieved yearly Riverside Would then be Station
#3~ as Parkville is No. 1, Farley ~2, Riverside could be T1o. 3, and
P1,atte Woods will have one very shortly w~lich will be Tdo. 4s
Before definite answers could be given, Riverside wanted to get more
definite answers with regard to the number of people paying; due s; the
nu}nber of people in the different incorporated crass, etc. and they would
also like to inquire with rag rd to the insurance fire rates coming down.
Swetnam moved that the Riverside Police Department be given
permis.~ion to hire Archie Carroll as Rad_o Dispatcher to replace Edward
Stephens, seconded by Clark, the Roll was called and votes were as follows:
all voted in favor.
Brenner moved that Bill No. D-66-20 being bill providing for the appropria
tion of money out of the General Fund of the City of ~iverside, Missouri for
the payment of certain indebtedness as listed therein be placed on its
first reading, seconded by Swetnalgi, the roll was called and votesw are as
follo~rs: Brenner-aye; Clark-a~e~ Eskridge-ay-e; Layton,absent; Swetnam-aye;
Young-aye; Bill No. D-66-20 was accordingly read.
Swetnam moved thab rules be suspended and Bill P?o. D-66-20 be placed
on its second r~ad_.ng,saconded by Brenner, the roll w asc alled and v otes
mere as follows: Brenner-aye.; Clark-a}*e; Eskridge-ale; Layton-d'jte~;Swetnam-
aye; Young-aye; and Bill T'o. L-66-20 was a ccordi_nglyread.
Swetnam moved that rulem bas uspended and Bill Iio. D-66-20 be placed
- on its third C}eading and upon passage of same become Ord. No. D-66620,
seconded by Clark, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Brenner-aye;
Clark-aye; Eskridge-aye; Layton-absent; Swetnam-eve; Young-aye; and B`_11 N6-66-
20 was accordingly read, approved by Mayer Filger and became Ord. D?o. D-66-20.
