July 19, 1966
A regular meeting of the Board of Alderman of City of River-
side, Missouri was held in the CitJ Hall in Riverside, Missouri, on
July 19,-1966, at 8:00 p.m. and upoA a roil callj~ aldermen Clark,
Eagridge, Layton and Swetnam were present, Brenner absent and Acting
Mayor Young calling meeting to order in the absence of Mayor Filger.
Eskridge moved that the minutes of meeting of July 5, 1966,
be accepted ea read, seconded by, seconded bJ Swetnam, the roll was
called and votes were ea follows: Brenner-absent; Clark-aye; Eskridge-eye;
Layton-aye; Swetnam-eye; and Young being Acting Mayor.
TreasurerTa report for the mo:ath of June, 1966, was read and accepted
- a a road.
Clarkmoved that X25,000 be taken from our checking account
and trana~errsd to the Savings Account, aedonded bJ ~b~, the roll
was calls d and votes were as follow a: Brenner-absent; Clark-aye;
Eskridge-sye; Lawn-eye; Swetnam-sye; and Young voting as Nlayor.
The Magnolia Pipeline Company requested permission to lay
e pipe line in Riverside, upola motion by Swetnam that the permission
be granted and seconded bJ Layton, the roll was c gilled and votes were
as Pollowa: Brenner-absent; Clerk-sye; Eskridge-eye; Layton-aye;
Swetnam-aye; and Young Acting as Mayor.
Clark moved that Swetnamss application for building house
in Riverside, be accepted, seconded by Eakrdige, the roll was calla d
and votes were ea follows: Brenner-absent; Clark-aye; Eskridge-aye;
Layton-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young-afAing as Mayor.
D. L. Seneker requested permission to purchase occident
reports with carbon copiem atttched, Por a sum of ~ll}l~..70 and that
he also roquested the purchase of uniforms in the sum oP 583.05, Motion bJ Cla

Layton moved that Joe Nichols be given permission for remodeling
rasidenc• (#375) seconded bJ Clark, the roll was called aid votes were
as follows: Brenner-eta Clark-aye; Eskridge-aye; Layton-aye; Swetnam-eye;
Young-noting as Mayor.
Layton moved that w e accept the lowest bid for re airing Merrimac Drive,
aseonded bJ Swetnam (the loxsst bid being ~6759.00~, the roll was called
and votes were as follows: Brenner-absent; Clark-aye; Swetnam-aye;
Eskridge-aye; Layton-aye; Young-acting as Mayor.
Clark moved that Biml No. D-66-13 being bill providing ~66r the
appropriation of money out of the genera 1 Pund of the City of Riverside,
Missouri, for the payment of certain indebtedness as listed therein be
placed on its first reading, seconded by Swetnam, the roll was c allsd and
votes were as follow e: Brenner-absent; Clark-aye; Eskridge-aye;

Clark moved that rules be suspended and Bi11No. D-bb-13 be
placed on its second reading, seconded by SwetnaYp the roll was called
and votes were as follows: Brenner-absent; Clark-eke! Eskridge-aye;
Layton-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young-acting as ~''ayori Bil1No. D-bb-13 was accordingly

Clark moved that/Bill No. D-bb-13 be placed on its third reading
and upon passage of same it become Ord. No. D-66-13, s ecor~ded by Swetnam,
the roll was called and votes were as follows: Brenner-absent; Clark-eye;
Eskridgge-aye; Layton-aye; Swetnam-aye; and Young-acting es "syor, Bill
No. D-66-13 was accordinggly read, approved by Acting Mayor Young and
became Ordinance No. D-66-13.
Layton moved meting ~d~ouA, no further business, meeting
adjourned.
