HomeMy WebLinkAbout1966-07-05Minutes of Re ;ular Meeting; of Board c;f Aldermen cf City of Ri>ersiae, Missouri July 5,1966 A re;~ular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of City of Riverside, Missouri was held in the CityI~ll in Riverside, Missouri, on July 5, 1966, at 8:00 p.m. and upon a roll call, aldermen Brenner, Clark Eskridge Layton and Swetnam present, Young absent first portion of meeting, Mayor Filger calling said meeting to order. Minutes of meeting of June 21, 1966, were read and accepted as read. Clark resigned as Chairman of the Road Committee. Collector's report for month of June, 1966, was read and accepted as read. Layton stated that Merrimac road needed ditching and ditches needed cleanout at and that it was in need of rock. Swetnam moved that we have the lowest bidder to work on the road in front of City Hall, -- High Drives preferably after the parties were through hauling the dirt from the hill on the north side o~' Highdrive, and that Merrimac road be ditched, seconded by Layton, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Brenner-aye; Clark-aye; Eskridge-aye; Layton-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young-absent. 'the Mayor reported that Mr. Myers was working on the overall sewer plans for Riverside and would be completed on about the 15th of July. Swetnam moved that we accept Larry Rice as patrolman and at the rate of pay of $l.OC per hour, replacing James Kelley who is gig back to reserve, seconded by Brenner, the kroll was called and votes were as follows: Brenner-aye; Clark-aye; Eskridge-aye; Bayton-aye; Swetnam-aye; and Young-aye.
