A regular meting of the Board of Aldermen of City of Riverside,

Missouri was held in the City Hall in Riverside, on June 7, 1866,
at 8:00 p.m. and upon a roll call Clark, Brenner, Eskridge Layton
and Young were present and Mayor Filger calling said meeting to order.
Swetnam present shortly after meeting was called to order:
Mr. D. B. Swetnam requested that the City purchase him a filing
cabinet which was much inneed of.
Mr. Wagner of H. 0. Peet and Co. spoke to the council with regard
to their company berg inteESted in securing the necessary bonds for the
City when they decided to install sewers throughout the City. He
also stated their company would help in all ways to accomplish this
project, including filing for application for Federal help in the
matter. He dated that they would like Riverside to give them
the opportunity to secure this portion of the project. This could
be estimated as to the cost after a survey of tie project was made
and the system planned by the Engineer.
Mr,~E. I. Myers spoke to the .council advising that he would
like to the engineer as he was familiar with all the territory
around this area and that he has most of the information readily
available. He read a letter setting forth the projects that
he has done and also what this sewage project would require.
He thought the preliminary plans would cost from 850.00 to a
maximum of 2250.00, howevefl this would not be for boring for rock.
Young moved that the City have Mr. Myers start a preliminary
plan for the sewer plans, seconded by Layton, the roll was called
and all voted in favor.
Layton moved that the city purchase one fireproof fie cabinet with
castors, seconded by Clark, the roll was called and all voted in favor.
Swetnam moved that Bill No. D-66-10 be placed on its first reading

general funds of the city of Riverside far the payment of certain indebtedness
as listed therein,~x~x seconded b,. Clark, the roll was called and votes
were as follows: Clark-aye;Brenner-aye;Eskrid®e-aye; Layton-aye; Swetnam-aye;
Young-aye; Bill No,! n-66-1o was accordingly.
Swetnam moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D-66-10 be placed
on its second reading, seconded by Clark, the roll was called and votes were
as follows: Clark-aye; Brenner-aye; Eskridge-aye; Layton-aye; Sw~nam-aye;
aid Young-aye; Bill No. D-66-1o was accordingly read.
Swetnam moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D-66-10 be placed
on its third reading and upon passage of same become Ord. No. D-66-10,
seconded by Clark, the roll was called and votes wereas folllows, Clark-aye;
Brenne~rpaye; Eskridge-aye; Layton-aye; Swetnam-aye; Youngpaye; Bill No. D-66-1
was accordingly read, approved by Mayor Filger and became Ord. No. D-~6-10.
No further business, meeting adjourned.
