A regular meeting of the Board o.'i' Aldermer, of City of Riverside,
- .T^issouri, was held in the City -~a_1 in P.3.verside, Missouri on May 17,
1966, at 8:c~0 p.m. anc~ upon a roll, call, aldermen Brenner and Clark
were absent, Esdkridge, Layton, Cwetnam anc~ Young were present and
Mayor Filger called said ,nesting to order.
Minutes of regular rleeting of r~a~' C, 1966, wore read and
accepted as read. Treasurers s r ~ port fbr rronth of April, 1966, was
read anc+ accepted as read.
Mr. Warren presented Application x~or Business License x'or
Advance Lisposal, took over the Mr. Brooks business, only the location
was to be on the Galaetti~s property.
M r. Bill Woodside presented business application i'or license to ao
contracting business in Bruce Grimes building.
Mr. Rupert presented plane x'or rezoming property on the north side oi'
High arive as it goesup the hill before reaching ~ettyjohr,~s property
x'rom its present zoning to multiple dwelling. He was eavised that he
had to present the application to the Zoning board for their nearing
- rirst.
Mr. Wm. Brophy complained about people parallel parking, angle
parking on the side of the road and that mere was gravel weaning on the
roadmaking it dangerous, also the ditches on the aides of the roads needed
cleating uut. The portion of Highdrive on the north City Limits needed
a new culvert ana the ditches cleaning out, Swetnam was to look into the
matter about the culvert and woula try to fix it.
Violet and Jos Dellek inquired with regard to selling their
produce they r aiaed at Hose N'eta~s place and since they raised their
own produce, it would be in order.
Eskridge moved that Deister-Woodside Construction Company~s
business appl~lation and Advance Disposal business Application be approved
on temporary basin only as both were out ox' zdne, seconded byLayton,
the roll wee called and votes were as follows: Brenner-absent;
Clark-absent; r:sxridge-s ye; Layton-aye; Swetnam-aye; and Young-aye.
Mr. Hon inquired li' the City could prepare a letter to
~ the Water Polluti_~n Board at Je!lerson City syating it was in order
~~:- and that the City approved the aisposal system which he had presented
plansf or for hie apartment project on ~lifx~view drive, upon motion by
Eskridge that the eity write auc h a letter okaying the aisposa~ system
ix' same was approved by the County Sanitarian, seconded by Young, the
roll was called and votes were as follows: Brenner-absent; Clark-absent;
Esdkridge-eye; Layton-aye; Swetnam-eye; and Young-aye.
Swe team moved that BillNo7l D-66-9 being bill providing f or the
appropriation of money out of the general fund of the pity oi' Riverside,
Missouri 1'or the payment of certain indebtedness as listed there in be
placed on its first reading, seconded by Eskridge, the roll .was called
and notes wefie as follows: Brenner-absent; dark-absent; Eskridge-eye;
Layton-eye; Swtnam-aye; Young-aye; Bill No. D-66-9 was accordingly read.
Layton moved t".at rules be a uspended and Bill No. D-bb-9 be placed on its
second reading, s econded by Swetnam, the roll was called and notes were ea
follows: Brenner-absent; Clerk-apdent-; Eskridge-aye; Swetnam-eye;
Young-aye; and bill rio. bb-9 was accordingly read.
Eskridge moved that BillAlo. D-66-9 be pladed on its third reading and upon
passage of sa me b acome Ord. No. ID-66-9, seconded by Layton, the roll was calf
'~-. ~ and the vote s were as follows: Brenner-absent; Cls rk-absent} Eskridgegaye;
Layton-aye; Swetnam-aiye; and Young-a§se; Bill No. D-66-9 was accordingly
read, approved by Mayor Filger and became Ord. No. ~-66-9, s
