HomeMy WebLinkAbout1966-05-05Minutes of Regular Meeting.-~ of Board of Ald ermen ' 'City of Riverside, Missouri Niay 5, 1966 Aregular meeting of theBoard of Ald ermen of City of Riverside, Missouri was held in the city hall on May 3, 1966, at d:u0 p.m. and upon a roll call, Aldermen Brenner, Clark, Eskridge, Layton, Swetnam and Young were present, Mayor Filger cal ling said meeting to order. Minutes of meeting of April 19, 1966, were read and a ccepted ~s read. 6ollector~s report for month of April, 1966 was read and accepted. Brenner moved that the Business Licenses for Rive rside Fire Sale be accepted with the understanding that the rre rchand~se to b® stored and displayed inside only; Bengies Motors for selling usedcars; and Terry's Hair Fashions, seconded by Swetnam, the roll was called and all voted in favor. Marshall Davis reported that Green's Trailer Park is doing seine grading and understand that they want to put in more trailers, However, since the place was not up to specifications or the City Ordinance this could not be done. It was also reported that the road up past the Trailer Park has been dug away, Both Ernest Renner and Nirs.rneen have dug up the road and sold the dirt and it was suggested to write each of them a letter advising that they should have requested permission to dig up a city street and the City Does not appreciate their hauling the dirt away, and the pity wants them to estab lisp where the street is. 'with regard to the Trailer Park, it was suggested to have Dr. Charles to come down and look over the pa rk and ask 1'or his recommendation Assistant Chiet' of Police Seneker requested permission to hire Charles Witter, as dispatcher replacing one who resigned. He also stated that the truck in the garage was one which cbu>hd be pur~trased for ~~r50.U0, plus ~1UO.UU for painting, 41.00 for siren and 100 for tires would m9ke the cost approximately 907.50, thiswould include the Titlefee and lettering. It would serve as a dog catcher vehicles s well as a second car, a s the Police Car isnow in the garage f'or repairs as res 1 t of damage to same while driving on Riverside Road and going into a large hole made by the people constructing the sewers. Lai*ton moved that the City purchase the a~ito ror ~b50.00, seconded by Clark, the roll was c alled and all voted in i'svor. Nr. Sheer pies^nted a plat and drawing showing where the asphalt plant would be, however, he was advised that h© still didnct have a drawing of the building nor did he have llr. Charles permit to install the sewer for the building, also the drawings were to b e in triplicate. William Wilson s app]~ation i'or several duplexes was presented, However, there ~fras no approval i'rom llr. Charles on the Sewage, the plot plans were not complete and the city needed to know where the roads were,. also places for parking was not shown(Ot'f street parking) City needed to .:now where the road was tieing into, or rahaL property involved.
