Minutes of reguhir meeting of April 5, 1966, were read and accepted as read. Mr. H~dgecock presented application to build a r;etal butilding inthe back of the Serviee Station Building on Highwry 71. Mir. Myers stated he met with NIr. Hedgecock ondeta lked to him the earlier part of the day and advised h'm the Corp of Engineers are planning to start the lay'ng out or area involy ed for the levy and he had the plans at his office, but could not recall 3ust the exact location, put anew that ii' the levy were build the building would have to come dvwn. N:r. Myers aavised it was getting harder to get the runt of way because of business development, howeverit was up to the city of Rive side and Corp oi' Engineers and Levy Board. Mr. Myers stated "Line L'reek Levy way up first after the other three or four other locations were completed, however one already had obtained all right of w^y so it was more close to Line Creek. The Co..ncil decided to look into the rnatter further and talk it over with the CorL, of Engineers and N:r. Myers and then would be able to give Mr. Hedgecock an answer. P'Ir. Hedge- cocx also inquired if' he could have a per>bit to ripra~ the west bai€k on his property. Mr. N:yers sated he would ask th.e Corp of Engineers if'iaE they thought it would be okay tv do it. Mr.Ctoud inquiredwhether regardto the road in Indian dills, to the outlet store, as this was a inquired with regard to the matter C1ey County f'or several months and this matter. This m~ tter was to b his op'nion regarding same. there had b een anyth'_ng done with and also with regard to the engrance dangerous c or~diticn. Mr. Cloud also that Mr. Brenner has been living in presented a petition with regard to s giver, to the City Attorney and requested Mr. Ayers also stated he heard that the sewQge disposal plant ror the rest home and sea-tments (Diplomats) was not w orkinG properly as it was not given the proper care and they walla having trouble with same. He stated he was to build council with the following t,~s approval of sewage into the main sewer line The matter of` road repairs was brought up, Sunset drive cleaning ditches- ~160.U0 plus one laborer 16 hrs. 3.62 per her 57.92 plus 10 loads rock ~2.2~ ton, ~176.U0 and four hours grading 11.Ou - X44.00. Northwood road, 3 tons patching X60.00. High Dri~~e, clean out ditches 3 hors ~3e.00, 3 ho r labor X3.62 ~10.a2, patching material 700.60. CZ'~~li~ifioved that foregoing repairs be mad®, seconded by Brenner, the roll was called and all voted in favor. It was suggested that Mr. horsey incorporate the the appropriAt a ordinance a clausewhere a person builds a house and if there be no curbing on the street, that it is compulsory that such curbing be built, this to go along with the building permit. Swetnam mo~~ed that the police department be given permission to purchase four Michilian tires for the police car and that the >a!>pployment ~f David Wheeler and John Combs itie accepted and that Charles nose and Thomas ose be approved i`or dispatchers, seconded by Clark, the roll was called and all voted in i'svor. Meet4n g, April 19, 1966 Page 2, Swetnam moved that Bi11 Pdo. b6-7 being 'o ill providing for the a-propriation of honey out of the general fund of the City of Riverside for thepayment of certain indebtedness as listed thereir, be placed on its first reading, Seconded by Brenner, the roll was c ailed and votes were as follows: Btlrenner-aye; Clarx-ays; Eskridge-aye; Layton-a~ve; Swetnam-aye; and Young}~a,ye; Bill No. b6-7 was a ccddingly read. rules be suspended and Cla rx moved that/Bill No. b6-7 be placed on its second reading, seconded by Swetnam, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Brenner-eye; C1arx-aye; Eskridge-eye; Layton-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young-aye; and Bill No. 66-7 was accordingly read. rules be suspended and B`11 Clarkreoved that/Bill 66-7 be placed on its third reading and upon passage of same become Urd. No. 66-7, seconded by Layton, the roll was called and votes were as f ollows: BrenneY-sye; Clark-eye; Eskridge-aye; Layton-aye; Swetnam-aye; and Young-aye; Bill No. b6-7 was accordingly read, approved by P'iayor Filger and became Ord.
