A r•i3nlar meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Riverside,Missouri was held in the City Hall in Riverside, on March 15, 1966, a$ 8s00 p.m. and upon a roll call, Aldermen, Clark, Eskridge, Majors and Young present and Brenner and Swetnam absent. Minutes of meeting of March 1, 1966 were read and accepted as read. Treasurer's report for month of February 1966, was read and accepted as read. Mr. Chris Theroff (Travel Right Trailer Sales) stated he was leasing the Standard Oil Station across from Red X to sell Pick-up cover slide in campers and the small camping trailers, he requested a business license for same, and upon motion by Majors that he be given a business license, and seconded by Young, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Brenner-absent; Clark-aye; Majors-aye; Eskridge-aye; Swetnam-absent and Young-aye. Young moved that we accept the Platt of Indian Hills as presented by Mr. Panus, same being Bill No. 353, seconded by Clark, the roll was called and votes were as fA llows: Brenner-absent; Clrk.rtaye; Eskridge-aye; Majors-aye; Swetnam-absent; Young-aye/ Bill No. 353 was accordingly read. rules be suspended and Clark moved that/Bill No. 353 be placed on its second reading, seconded by Majors, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Brenner-absent= Clark-aye; Eskridge-aye; Majors-aye; Swetnam-absent; and Young-aye; Bill No. 353 was accordingly read. Clark moved that Ernest Renner's application for remodeling business building be aceepted, seconded by Majors, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Brenner-absent; ClarJc-aye; Eskridge-aye; Majors aye Swetnam-absent and Young-aye. Dick prsston spoke with regard: to the Planning Commis~.on and Development of different areas in Missouri. He said it was in existence for approximately 4 years and that they have done work for Cities in All areas in Missouri. He stated that Federal Government will pay up to 2%3 of the expense if the City qualifies. He also stated that in order for this to become effective it would have to continue for years and that insofar as our ordinances and other City regulations, we would have to have an attorney to hook over the matters to see if they would serve our primary purpose. He stated that Parkville has started on this ad he felt that the cost there was approximately $9,800.00. Mr. Cloud inquired if they could get Osage Circule paved tat as it was in bad condition, Swetnam present this portion of meeting. q Young moved that Phillip Brenner's Applicatfm for duplex be approved subject to County Health approving the water sustem and increase the overall size to 48' x 26', seconded by Swetnam, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Brenner-absent; Clark-aye; Eskridge-aye; Majors-aye; Swetnam-aye; and Young-aye. 1 Young moved that the City transfer all the money it has been holding in escrow on the lo~~ in Seven Oaks Additin to Murdock and Newby if Dity Attorney approves, seconded by Swetnam, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Brenner-absent; Clark-aye; Eskridge-aye; Majors-aye; Swetnam-aye; Youngaye. Majors moved that Bill No3/~>~I being bill providing for the amendment of Hrd. No. 3~/ , increasing tine police court ,judge from the present salary of $72.50 to $112.50 per month, same to become ~~fective April 1, 1966, seconded by Swetnam, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Brenner-apse' Clark-aye; Eskridge-aye; Majors-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young-aye; and Bill No. 311~i was accordingly read. No . tl r/}L Clark moved that we accept Ace Carpenter as Auxilary Patrolman, seconded by Swetnam, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Brenner-absent; Clark-aye; Eskridge-aye; Majors-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young-aye; Asst Chief of Police Senerer advised that there was some expense connected with the Metro Squad on the Pinker ease and wanted to know if the City would approve paying of the bills, it was agreed to pay the bills when presented to the council, that it would probably be in the vicinity of $125.00.
