Minutes of regualr meeting of January 18, 1966 were rear. and accepted as read. Bueford presented license application to do business in Riverside, Nils s ours . N'r. Schemer presented a pplicati_on for portable type asphalt plant on ~•,1est Riverside Street, said there w ould be no dust only steam; there would be a small office building, and portable toilet. He stated there would be approximately f?ve emr~l,~,ir~i.~ at r, iA peak of the season; there w ould be about 350 ft. fmontage running north and loath and 275 ft. rur,ninJ east and west. After a discussion was tad regarding this asphalt plant and a prom'_s of plans t^ b e furnished the city in 'Priplicnte a long ~!ith plot plans and lso permit or approval of toilet facilities by N'ir. Charles, a motion was .,:ado by Brenner that the application of Dan J. Sherrer, Jr. {Indland Industries, Inc.) for asphalt plant be accepted sub3ect to Nir. Sherrer furnishing in triplicate the buildir p s, the lot fans and a.l-oa ~ o ^1 by Charles on the sewage disposal,`a~~d~~~~ob~p~~o~et~~$°~~~~n~~~~~p~~~~~ticn of Bueford for businesslicerse, seccnded by Swetnam, the roll was called and votes were as f ollows: Brenner-aye; Olark-absent; Eskridge-aye; N?ajrQ-absent: Swetnam-aye; and Young-aye! ~If eomplair.ts were received, then he would hove to remove the equipment end license would b o can~elled~ along wii;b the permit. Mr. Dorsey presented to the council a New`Praffic Code and said he would have to make some corrections in it before giving to the council for reading. He also stated the last time he was in Jefferson City that he talked to a r~iar. in charge of the Urban Planning and stated that Riverside could get help with their planning and that there is also i',ederal. assistance given in this regard. He wanted to know if the City would be interested in rooting with this man if so, he would setup ameeting. He stated the Federal uoverment would pay 2/3 of the costs and the City pay 1/3, they Auld help with the master streot planr,inr , s torm s ewers, etc. Swetnam moved that Nir. vorsey r,ontact the state al;ent and that we meet with hi_m, seconded by Eskridge, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Brenner-aye; Clark-absent; Eskridge-aye; Nlajprs-absent; Swetnam-aye; Young-aye; Swetnam moved that Parkville ilolui7te~ Fire Department be givenpermission to park one of their vehicles inside at Riverside, seconded by Brenner, the roll was called and votes were ~,s fellows: Brenner-aye; ClarN_-absent; Eskridge- ~ye; N.ajors-absent; Swetnam-aye; Young-eye/ Swetnam moved that Bill No. D-66-3 being billproviding for the appro- priation of money out of the general fundof t^~ City of Riverside, Nlissouri for the n4yment of certain indebtedness as listed therein be placed on its first reading, seconded by Brenner, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Brenner eye; Clark-absent; "r,sk¢lidge-aye; i~?a joys-e~e~nt~y Swetnam-aygs Young-aye; and Bill No. D-66-i was ar,eordingly read.
