Jan. 4, 1966
A regular meeting of the Board of ®.dermen of the City of Riverside,
Missouri was held in the City Hall in Riverside, Mo., on Janiary 4, 1966,
at 8:00 p.m, and upon a roll call Aldermen Brenner, Clark, Eskridge,
Majors and Swetnam present, Young Agsent and Mayor Filger calling said
meeting to order.
Minutes of meeting of December 7, 196 and December 21, 1965,
were read and accepted as read.
Clark reported on the road conditions as follows:
Mattox road, blading and rock $105.60; Vandepopulier Road, blading
and three loads of rock $85.50; Blading Sunset Drive, $2.00; 2o0. o0
High Drive, Patching--5 tons @20.00 ton, $100.00; Norwood Road-lOtons ~atchinF
Oiled and Karen Road patching--2 tons --$40.00. Mayor Filger reported
that someone was interested in building apartments on Scavazzo's property
adjacent to Norwood Road and they were told they had to give 10 ft. more
on the road. Swetnam moved tYet the above roads be repared as set forth,
seconded by Brenner, the roll was called and vote^ were as follows:
Brenner-aye; Clark-ale; Eskridge-aye; Majors-aye; Swetnam-aye; and
Young-alge~nt.
Warren Brenner presented his p~~sa for office building--
Furniture, Surveyor and Pitzateria, possibly, and John Blogin's plans
for building andxan addition to his building, Mayors moved that these
two applications be approved, seconded by l~webBam, the roll was celled and
votes were as follows: Clark-ale; Brenner-aye; Eskridge-aye; Majors-aye;
Swetnam-aye; and Young-absent;
D. SEneker reported that we received a bill from Parkville
Fire Department stating that Riverside burned out the motor on the
generator at a cost of $55.55 for rebuilding same also that a new
transmission was rebuilt in the auto as the new car was not to be
received for several weeks--the cost $92.29, however a woman ran into
the police car and paid $~Q.Q9 for repairof same and he talked to Jerry
Green and they stated they would not deduct for this since they were
getting a rebuilt transmission and the cost of the transmission would
be $62.29. Seneker also reported on the bill at Connie's Thriftway and
thought that we owed the $86.21 which they furnished sales slips for.
Swetnam moved that Bill No. D-66-1 being bill providing for the
appropriation of money out of the general funds of the City of Riverside,
Missouri for the payment of certain indebtedness as listed therein be placed
on its first reading, seconded by Brenner, the roll was called and votes were
as follows: Brenner-aye; Clak-aye; Eskridge-aye; Majors-aye; Swetnam-aye;
Young-absnet; Bill No. D-66-1 was accordingly read.
Swetnam moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D-66-1 be placed
on its second reading, seconded by Blrenner, the roll was called and votes
were as follows: Brenner-aye; Clark-aye' Eskridge-aye; Major a e; wetnam-aye
Young-absent; Bill No. D-66-1 was accordingly read. '~ -~

Clark mood that rules be suspended and Bill'Nb. D-66-1 b placed
on its third reading and upon passage of same it become Ord. No. D-66-1,
seconded by Swetnam, the roll was called and votes were as follows:
Brenner-aye; Clark-aye; Exkridge-aye; Majors-aye; Swetnmm-aye; Young-abeent'
Bill No. D-66-1 was accordingly read, approved by Mayor Filger and became
Ordinance No. D-66-1. Brenner moved meeting adjourn, seconded by Clark, meets
adjourned. r
