HomeMy WebLinkAbout1965-11-02Minutes of Regu~rmeeting of Board of Ald ermen of City of Riverside Niissour i November 2, 1965 A regular meeting of the Board ofAldermen of City of Riverside, Missouri was held in the City Hall on November 2,1965, at tS:UO p.m. and upon a roll call, Aldermen Clark, Eskridge, and Swetnam and Young were present, Brenner absent and Majors absent Yor roll call &;-.first pert of me Mayor Filger called said meeting to order. Minutes of October 5 and 19~ 1965 were read and accepted as read. Y~lr. Forsey inquired whether the City Could put up a street sign s'r~owing the name of the road going to Parkdale Additi:;n. ~~e stated there was a sign up, but someone had painted it black and that the proper name of the road was Paradise Valley Road, Young moved that the City purhhase the proper sign and that it be put up on the pole which is already installed, seconded by Clark, the Roll was called and votes were as follows: Brenner-assert CJa rk-ay®; Eskridge-aye; Ma~ors$absent, Swetnam-aye; and Young-aye; Mr. Harry Azorsky presented plans f'or the new store building heplanned to build, a discussion was had with regard to the drainage problem and Mr. Asorsky said he would cooperate with thismatter and at this time he did not anticipate an entrance way on the north side of his property, but that a drainage dutch could be made there, he also said he would make the block side of the balding as attaracLive as he could. Swetnam moved that the building application be approved, seconded by Clarx, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Brenner-absent; Clark-aye; Eskridge-aye; N!ajorsy-aye; Swetnam:-aye; Young-e tge ; a rd Swetnam moved that the City go in with the Special Road District and oil Northwood road, not to exceed ~ti0U.00, and that the road o`'f Merrimac be graded, seconded by Majors, the roll was cal led and votes were as f ol.lows: Brenner-absent; Clark-aye; Eskridge-eye; Majors-aye; Swetnarc~-sye; Young-eye. Clark moved that the City Pay Nlr. Ward A.Lorse,y, the sum of ~1,984.1F2, for his services performed for the Levy Board, seconded by Eskridge, the roll wasc alled and votes were Qs follows: Brenta r-absent; Clark-aye; F;skridge-aye; Majors-eye; Swetnam-pass, Young-eye. D-65-18 was accordingly read. Eskridge moved that rules be suspended and B111 No. D-65-18 be rlaeed on its third reading and upon passage of same become Ord.
