HomeMy WebLinkAbout1965-08-17Minutes ~f Reular Meeting of Board of Aldermen of City of Riverside, Missouri, Sl~~ak~m~a August 17, 1965 A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of City of Riverside, Misso ri was held in the City Hall in Riverside, Missouri on August 17 1965, at 8:00 p.m. and upon a roll call, Alderman Clark, Eskridge, Majors, Swetnam and Yo~~ng were present, Brenner absent, and said meeting was called to order by Mayor Filger. Minutes of meeting of August 3, 1965, were read and accepted as read . Majors moved that we adopt Resolution No. 10, same being with regard to the public nuisance dump in Fairfax area, seconded by Swetnam, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Brenner-absent' Clark-aye; Eskridge-aye; M~,jors-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young-aye. Swetnam reported on the road to be repaird by Homer White and said he c:;nta~ected him and after going over the roads, said that he would patch the holes and have the hot mix rolled and repair the edge with cr crusher run and oil it from corner of brown h use on Highdrive to first drive north on the east side of the road. Also re-di®ch in front of Bill Br phy's house and in front of HHend,nthch Deconich house. Mayors inquired whether should ha~:~e the weeds cut along the roads again It was also suggested that a letter be written Fred Herzog of the Griff's Burger Bar advisng him of the nuisance of his place in Riverside and that have received several complaints and that he should either correct this situation with having a full time police officer there at his cost or that some other measure will be taken. Young moved that the police department get tear gas equipment and approximately six helmets also that it purchase a PA System on the police car at approximately cost of $175.00, secnded by Majors, the roll was called andlaotea were as follows: Brenner-absent; Clark-aye; Eskridge-aye; Majors-aye; Swetnam-aye; and Young-aye. Swetnam moved that Bill No. D-6g-15 being bill providing for the appropriation of money out of the general fund of the City of Riverside for the ~oayment of certain indebtedness as listed therein be placed on its first reading, seconded by Majors, the roll was called and votes were as follows: Brenner-absent; Clark-aye; Eskridge-aye; Majors-aye; Swetnam-aye;~Young-aye; and Bill No. D-65-15 was accordingly read. rules be suspended and Swetnam moved-th t bill No. D-65-15 be placed on its second reading, seconded by the troll was called and votes were as follows2 Brenner-absent; Clark-afire; Eskridge-aye; Ma,jreas-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young-aye; and Bill No. D-65-15 was accordingly read. No. D-65-15, seconded by Majors, the roll was called and vostes were as follows: Brenner-absent; Clark-aye; Eskridge-aye; Mayors-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young-aye; and Bill No. D-65-15 was accordingly read, approved by Mayor Filger and became ordinance Rio.
