Minutes of Special Meeting of Board of Jldermen of City of Riverside, Mo. June 7, 1965 " A special meeting of the Board of Aldermen of City of Riverside, Missouri was held in Wari A. Dorsey, City Atto m ey, office in North Kans~ s City, Mss sours en June 7, 1965, a~E 7:30 p.m. Aldermen Clark, Majors, Eskridge ani Y©ung were present at the beginning and Swetnam present later in the meeting. Meyor Filger calling said meeting to order. New maps were presented to all pz~ sent, including Mr. W. A.Doraey, Engineer E. I. Meyers, Mr. :iopkins, and another representative of the City. Itwaa explained that all people whe lived near the sewer line did not have to hook into it or pay for it, however, just those that i>t was available tm, by this it was a xplained those people who, in the opinion of the City Engineer were close enoughto the line without having to install the lateral sewer. It w as brought up that the people who had acreageand they lived on one side and the sewer ran on the other side, this person did not have to hook up with t he sewer. The Commercial rate would b e the same as Kans=s C1ty, they would figure 73~ of the water bill, however they wouAi use Kansas City water rate on the water in figuring the 73~. Ata in it w as stated that if it took lateral sewers to connect, the party w,~uli not have to connect until the lateral a ewers were insta llei. However, everything was a et out in the Agreement given to Mr. Dorsey for the City to a xdcute, -- the City of Riverside to s ecure the right of way and for t his they could hook into the line at the above costs. The matter was discussed at length and it was ended with the understanding that City of Rivet>lidew ould enter into the agreement upon the same being passes at the special election to b e held for this purpose. Mr. Meyers advised he talked to the people with regard to the pipe lino for gee, also met with the Burlington RR Representatives. 7~ ~Dhe PipekLine Company will pay 15.00 per runr;ing Rod for two Roi widths--33 Pest. The Gas Company would contribute approximately 1}800.00 per mile toward the right of way and pay 8671 all the expense Riverside was out in a scoring the rightof way. The City of Riverside ad~oped a resolution approving the contract of the City of Kansa City, Mi sours subject to the passage of same at the special election on the 22nd day of June, 1965• The City also adopted another resolution that it is desirable that the city accept the offer of the City Service Gas Company in an attempt to acquire a 100 Pt. right of way along the line as describes in E. I.Meyera Letter of Juns 7, 1965, auttn riasi. ng Mayer of Riverside, Engineer E. I.
