November 17, 1964
A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of City of Riverside
Missouri was held in the City Hall in Riverside on November 17,
-- 1964, at 8:00 ~.m and upon a roll call, aldermen H. Brenner, W. Brenner
Clark, Ma~ops and Swetnam present, Young absent th3 portion of
mea=ing o~x said meeting called to order by Mayor Filger.
Minutes of November 3, 1864, meting was read and accepted, Treasurer's
report for month of October, 1964, was read and accepted.
Mr. Hon again presented his plans in building a two story 12 pled
and W. Brenner showed the council that he had an easement wlth Dr.
Jones that he could use the parking lot for the tenants of the
apartments.
Princeton Turf Farm Manager requested the City to go with
them one-half for the grading and repairing the road in front of
his farm as he said it was not in very good condition. He stated
he was certaii he could get a 50 ft. right of way there as was
sure all the property owners would want the road to be put in good
shape. He thought the road could be put in pretty good condition
for about 1200.00, the City pay ~f~~x~h~x $600.00 and his company
- would pay the remaining. He g thought that it would be about
3/4 mile of road to grade and gravel.
Emil Jones presented application for business in White City
Motel for a Tool Rental and he was advised the council approved
ihLs, upon motion that the occupation license fee be $25.00, by
H. Brenner, the roll was called and votes were as follows:
Bi Brenner-aye; W. Brenner aye; Claris-aye; Majors-aye: Swetnam-aye;
and Young absent this portion of meet6zg.
Mr. and Mrs. Hoheit~er inquired whether the city would put
gravel on their road which was part of 7-Oaks Addition, they
stated that Mr. Wilson graded the road and graded all the gravel
off when he made the road smooth for people to come to look at
lots on the far part of the addition, and he never graded the
gravel back on the road. They were advised that this was not
a City road.
A recess was called and then the meeting reconviened and the
Ro~lwas called, H Brenner, W. Brenner, Clark, Ma,jors,Swetnam, and
~doung were present and Mayor Filger presiding over remaf~der of meeting.
With regard to the roads in 7-Oaks addition, the road to
Princeton Turf Farm, and all other roads in Riverside, it was decided
to call a special meeting of the Board of Aldermen and Mr. E. I. Meyer
for Monday evening N~rember 23, 1964, and see what could be worked
out.
H. Brenner moved that Du Dyne Const. Company building application
for the two story 12 Alex be approved, seconded by Clark, the
roll was called and all voted in favor. Permit No. 351 w-~s assigned
to the project.
It was decided to send the bill of Beverly Lumber Company to
the special road district for their paying of sere, said bill in the sum
of $127.50 for culvert for road on High Driver and Northwood road.
H. Brenner moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D-64-22 being
bill prosidingfor the payment of certain indebtedness as listed therein be
placed on its first reading, seconded by W Brenner, the roll was called
and votes were as follows: H Brenner,aye; W. Brenner-aye; Clark-aye.
Majors, aye; Swetnam-aye; & Young-aye, Bill No. D-6Q-22 was accordingly read.
Swetnam moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D-64-22 be placed on
_ its second reading, seconded by W. Brenner, the roll was called and votes
were as follows: H Brennera aye; W Brenner aye; Clark aye; Majors aye
Swetnam aye; and Young aye; Bill No. D 64 22 was accordingly read.
H Brenner moved that Bill No. D 64 22 be placed on its third reading
and upon passage of same become Ord. No. D 64 22, seconded by Majors, the
roll was called and votes were as follows:H. Brenner aye; W. Brenner-aye;'
Clark-aye; Mayors-aye; Swetnam aye; Young-aye; and Bill No. D-64-22 was
accordinglyr read, approved by Mayor Filger and became Ord. No. D-64-22,
Clark moved meeting adjourn, seconded by W. Brenner, meeting adjourned.
