A regular meeting of the F`oard of .Aldermen of C't~r of Riverside,
I"issouri wr~s held in the Cit?* ITall in Riverside, Missouri on July 21, 1>6LT,
at X3:00 p.r;, and upon a roll call, aldermen W. Brenner, Clark, Ta jots,
SU~etnam and Young were pres~:~nt, Ill Brenner absent, and T~iayor Filger

Representative of '.:ales and ebb Const. requested permission
to char,<ze the narr,e of the street from. Larson Ro^d to Cliff Drive
and he ti-ras advised to find out the procedure to be followed to chan~,e
the name and report back to the council.
A member of Riverside Baptist Church wanted to obtain permit
to build a tool house on the Diorthwest side of their property and
upon motion by W. ~?renner that the Curch be givena roval to build such
tool house subject to his btininl,, the mints to T'lr. Ti~ilger and that
if there are any complaints with retard to the building that said building
will be removed, sec~nded by Yount, the roll was called and votes were as
follows: H. Brenner-absent;G1. Brennec°-aye; Clark-aye; A~ajors-aye;
Swetnam-aye; and Young-afire.
- W. Brenner moved that Judge Swetnam be permitted to secure a
safe deposit box for the Police Piepartmentrs papers, seconded by
Swetnam, the r. X1.1 was called and votes were as follotrs: T3. Brenner-absent;
l°d. Brer-~er-aye; Clark-a,ye; Pajors-aye; aw,~L-nam-aye; and Youn~~-atTe.
T~ia,ror Pilgor appointed W. Brenner and Young, as committee to
work out an arran~;ement,if possible, with the Highway Department
to put a sign at the Tdorth Entrance of Riverside stating the s~nortest
route or business or somo sort of sign promoting Riverside.
Pajors moved that the Police Department have permission to
purchase the {adar Equipment from TTorth Kansas City, Missouri f or the
sum of ~'~150.~) , and also purchase two tires for police autormbile,
seconded by Swetnam, the roll was called and votes were as follows:
H. Brenner-absent; W. Brenner-aye; Clark-aye; Swetnam-aye; T4ayors-aye;
and YounS,-aye.
T~'essrs. Porter and Higgins of r?.issouri Cities L~later Conpatr presented
their proposed plans with regard to installing further water mains
and altao water hydrants, they also presented maps to each of the aldermen.
They thought all the proposed plans should be completed wittrin four years=
that several of the old policies have been chant;ed; that the cost to
insta l meter is not a flat r ate of ~~50.00 and that if it is a duplex
there ~*ould be two me~~rs, however on all apt. buildin`°s there would be
one meter.; also the cost to install water would l~elc~ss with the understand-
ing' treat most of the money would be ref _nded to the party pa;;rin<; as people
or t-rater users are added t o the line; that their proposed 1-ray of paying
for the additional water hydrants would be toa dd this cost which
they stated w o a.ld be .50 per month to the . ater bill, but first they
would lower the rate by approximately .50; however the people who would
not hive a ccess to the hydrants would not pay for them, onl7 people
within the radius of the hydra ts; and accordingly the ones without
hydrants would Itavo a lower rate bill; and they propose, to ?.nstsll fT.J to

W. rrenner rr,oved that bill no. D-6L;-1L~ be p-laced on its first
r ading~ sr,d that said bill be for the appropriation of money out of tt~
rr;eneral fund of the Cit~r of Riverside; T:i:souri for the payrr,ent of certain
indebtednessa s listed there in, seconded by Nia,jors, the roll w s called
and votes were as follo•,as: IT. Brenner-absent; Yd. Brenner-aye; Clark-acre;
T~ jots-aye; Swetnam-a?,~e; Young-aye/ and Bill Tdo. DT-6La.-lll was a ccordingly
read.

read.
