A regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen of City of Riverside,
--- Missouri was held in the City Hall on Ju ~ 1961, at 8:00 p.m. and
upon a roll call, Alderrrren H. Brenner Brenner, Clark, Swetnam,
and Young Present and N:a jors absent for roll call, A~a,yor Filger cal ling
said meeting ~ order.
Minutes of June 16, 1961} were read and accepted.
Collector's and Treasurer's reports were read and accepted
for the Month of June, 1 964•
NIr. Tom Fulkerson, Attorney representing the Platte County Baseball
Leags stated there were a couple tri`_ngs they would like to discuss
with the City regale3ing their le-sink; the City's baseball diamond,
and he had discussed the natter ibith the city attorney and he had
anr-r::wed them if the council would. One was that they would like
permiss-.on to remove the lights if they were req,ir~ed to give up the
lease and also they w ould put the property in same condition a s
found or better, another thing the council gave the League complete
Jurisdiction over the diamond insofar as other teams playing on the
diamond, he then had the lease executed and same was executed by the
City.
Clark moved that the building application, for single Dwelling
of Erenner be approved, seconded by W. Brenner, the roll was called
and votes were all in favor.
M r. Booth statement of July 7, 1964, in the sum of
''P.24x.05 was approved, for payment.
It was agreed that M r. Charles be notified that he may
take whatever action the County Wishes to see that r`:ammy's Restaurant
is brought up to health spe cifications.
Swetnam moved that the appointive office of Plumbing
Inspector be a bolished, seconded by Clark, the roll was called and
votes were as follows: ;3. Erenner-nay, W. Brenner-ray; Clark-yes;
Ntajors-aye; Swetnam-aye; and Young aye/
The council desires the City Attorney to draw up an
ordinance covering the rr;atter cf ha vin,~M. the builder or owr;er
or the City, at owner's cost, to board up the building where the
construction is stopped account, failure to comply with building
code, no permit, etc. Ii. Brenner to contact Dorsey as to basic
contents of ordinance.

Young moved that Bil1No.D-64-]~ being bill providing for
the ap propriationof money out of the general fund of the City of
Riverside, Missouri for the payment of certain indebtedness ~s listed
the rein be placed on its first reading, seconded by Swetnarrr, the roll
was called and votes were as follows: H. Brenner-aye; W. Brenner-a,ye;
Clark-aye; Swetnam-aye; N:a jors-aye; Young-aye; and Bill Pio. D-6l}-]3
wss accordingly read.
Swetnam mc,ved that rules be suspended and B'l1 No. D-~L}-]3
be placed on its second reading, seconded by Clark, the roll was called
and votes were as follows: H. Brenner-aye; tn~. Brenner-a,ye; Clark-aye;
N1a jors-aye; Swetnam-a,ye; Young-aye; and B 11 ATO. D-64-1~ was accordingly
read.
H. Brenner moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. D-64-13
be -,laced on its third reading and upon passage of same become
Ord. No. D-61~.-13, seconded by W. Brenner, the roll was called and votes
gets as follows: H. Bremner-aye; W. Brenner-ay e; Clark-aye; Majors-aye;
Swetnam-aye; Young-aye; and Bill No. D-61}-].~ was accordingly re?d,

H. Bremner moved that Bill No. 246-6 :;ei~ig bill a,rprovin@;
the p'~at of Gardenoof Hope, an addition to East Slope Cemetery, a
subdivision of land in the City of Riverside, Platte County, Missouri
be placed or its first reading, seconded by Clark, the roll was called
and votes were as fo7.lows: H. Brerne r-aye; 4d. Brenner-aye; Clark-a,ye;

read.
H. Brenner moved that rules be suspended and Bill D:o.2fj:6~6.~ placed on
its second reading, seconded by Clark, the roll was called and votes

Majors-aye; Swetnar;;-a~re; Young-aye; and Bill ido. 246-6 was accordingly
read.
H. Brenner moved that rules be suspended and Bill No. 246-6 be placed
on its third reading and upon passage of same become Ord. Pdo. 246-6,
seconded by Clark, the roll was called and votes were as follows:

H. Brerr.er moved that Bill No. 253R2A2 be placed on its
first reading, sec nded by Clark, the roll was called and votes were
as follows: H. Brenner-aye; W. Brenner-aye; Clark-a,ye; Swetnam-a~Te;
N'ajors-a5re; Young-aye; Bill P•'o. 253R2A2 was accordingly read
Ii. Brenner moved that rules be suspended and Bill 253R2A2
be placed on its second reading, seconded by Clark, the roll was called

read.

be placed on tts third reading and upon passage of same become
ordinance IvTo. 253R2A2, seconded by Clark, the roll was called and
rotes were as follows: H. Brenner-aye; U1. Brenner-a,ye; Clar k-aye;
Majors-aye; Swetnam-aye; Young-aye; and B`11 No. 253R2A2 w as accordingly
read a proved by Mayor F-1ger and became Ord. No. 253R21~2.
H. Brereer moved meeting adjourn, seconded by Calri., meeting
adjourked.
